Junk Journal July - Days 28 & 29

 Hello All.

I have a couple more Junk Journal July pages to share with you.

Day 28 - Buttons

Day 29 - Contrast. I used warm and cool colours, and there are shiny and matt surfaces.

I went a little bit wild and abstract with this page, so I'm linking it to Jo's Wonderfully Wild theme at Art Journal Journey. I think the silver paint looks a bit like a waterfall.

Thanks for dropping by,

Alison

Wanderlust Live Day One

 Hi everyone.

I've been catching up with Everything Art's Wanderlust Live Weekend, a weekend of free arty lessons on YouTube with some of the teachers from Wanderlust 2024, which was launched for registration a couple of weeks ago.

Here is my art from Day One.

Mini Abstracts with Nicki Traikos

Colour Play with Christine Karpiac

Peaceful Pages with Nicole Warrington - These are just watercolour backgrounds at the moment. I may do some journaling on them eventually.

Thanks for visiting.

Have a great weekend,

Alison

ICAD Week 4

 Hello Friends.

Today I have my Week 4 index card art from Daisy Yellow Art's ICAD Challenge to share with you.

Day 22 - Unexpected.

I used only a tiny bit of collage and not my usual choice of colours, so it's unexpected from me.

Day 23 - Enchanted Forest

Day 24 - Bubble.

Day 25 - Dictionary.

Day 26 - Pinball.

Decided to go abstract with this one, and hadn't intended it to look like a flag, as some people have thought!

Day 27 - Indigo.

Day 28 - Asanoha Pattern.

Attempted sketching freehand, not measuring the angles- 2nd time lucky (ish)!

Thanks for dropping by.

Care December Days 8-13

 Hello All.

Here are some more pages I created for Kasia's Care December Advent challenge.

Day 8 - Impermanence.

Day 9 - Boundaries.

Day 10 - Carving. I used a face carving I made earlier this year. It's one of my favourites. You'll see it again ;-)

Day 11 - Bird's Eye View.

Day 12 - Seasons.

A snowy winter scene for Jo's theme at Art Journal Journey

I used little wooden snowflakes mounted onto foam to stamp the snowflakes.

Day 13 - Celebration.

There's that face stamp again! It's so useful.

Thank you so much for dropping by!

Art Journal Advent Days 11-16

Hello Everyone.

I have a few more pages to share, that I've created for Michelle & Tamara's Art Journal Advent.

Day 11 - Your greatest gift of 2022. Definitely being able to see more of my family. Our daughter moved into her new home in June, and we've been to stay with her a few times since. She's very excited to be hosting us and her brother this Christmas.

 Day 12 - Simplify.

An abstract snowy woodland walk for Jo's Snowy Winter theme at Art Journal Journey.

Day 13 - Self-confidence. Just a fun abstract collage. :-)

Day 14 - Building Castles in the Air. Do you recognise a couple of my collage fodder watercolour pieces from earlier in the year?

Day 15 - Vulnerability. Bees and hedgehogs are on the danger list, and I used some fragile teabag papers.

I always put out some water in case a hedgehog passes by, but I've sadly never seen one in our garden.

Day 16 - Unfiltered. Struggled with this prompt, so I just threw a bit of collage down, and a watercolour butterfly I created earlier this year.

Thanks for visiting today.

100 Days of Watercolour - 59-65

Hello All.

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter. Ours was very quiet, but we had some beautiful Spring weather and enjoyed a few lovely long walks.

Here are another seven of my little 10x10cm watercolour paintings for The 100 Day Project.

Day 59

Day 60

Day 61

Day 62

Day 63

Day 64

Day 65 - The first of a new series with botanical elements. I sprinkled some salt on this one, then waited until it was dry before brushing it off and painting the leaf.

Thanks for coming to see my art today.

100 Days of Watercolour - 52-58

 Hello All.

I hope you're all well. It's been a good day here, apart from getting a crown fitted at the dentist this afternoon. But that doesn't feel too bad now. It was just a case of taking the temporary one off, then fitting the permanent one. It took a bit of adjustment though, as it was slightly too big.

This morning was great though, I got my usual Monday doggy fix, walking with my friend and her sweet poodle. We always have coffee and cake at the cafe too, and Pascal gets his doggy sausage.

Here are my latest week's watercolour art, more abstract pieces.

Day 52 - I've made this one into an Easter card.

Day 53 - This one is an Easter card too.

Day 54 - This one has a lovely shimmer, and the circles have glitter in the watercolour paint.

Day 55

Day 56

Day 57

Day 58 - I couldn't resist using that gold watercolour again. Sadly, it's not a great photo. I love those colours!

I used Little Rainbow Moon watercolours for days 52-57, and Arteza watercolours for day 58. The gold is from a set of metallics and interference watercolours by Imagination Crafts.

Thanks for dropping by my blog today,

Alison
