Interactive Thank You

Image
Do you like interactive cards? Taylored Expressions has made this theater fold interactive die kit, so so easy. You will need to diecut the outer layer, and two inside pieces. But included are pieces already diecut and scored, ready to use.  After die cutting sugar cube cardstock to create the top layer. Using watermelon, candy corn and pinapple inks, the diecut panel was ink blended to create a gradient of red/orange/yellow. A stencil was placed over the panel and ink blended again to create a design.  The thank you sentiment was stamped, then diecut to place over the pre cut and scored diecut pieces. Then using the same stencil and ink colors, to create the same pattern.  When you pull the sides of the card apart, there is a secret area to place another sentiment/image. So fun! I am loving these big bold sentiments with coordinating dies. They really can add that extra zing to a card when you stamp the sentiment onto colored cardstock and diecut it out.  To start,...

Happy Easter

Image
This scalloped treat bag is one of my favorite stand alone dies from Lawn Fawn. It is the perfect die to pair with patterned paper. Today, I am sharing this bag created out of the Dandy Day patterned paper with some of the Say What Spring Critters. The critters were stamped in black ink, colored in with copic markers then cut out and adhered to the bag.  Twine was added to the top for an embellishment.  Cute little Easter bags are a great way to package small treats.

Merry Christmas

Hello friends! One of my favorite ways to challenge myself in card making, is when I use a mini set.  Mini stamp sets are usually 2 x 3 inches, have a main image, a sentiment or two, and maybe smaller images.  It stretches creativity as well as simplifying products used.  A lot of times stampers feel overwhelmed by the amount of choices when starting a card, but I have found less is more a lot of time. First I stamped the otter onto the card front as a mark to where my focal point was going to be.  Using green ink and a blender tool, I applied ink onto the card.  When ink blending, pick up ink onto the blender, then tap the blender onto scratch paper, if there is going to be an ink ring on the blender, this is when the sharpness of the ring will come off.  I then start blending in light circles onto the card, I repeat this over and over until satisfied with the layer and darkness of the ink.  The sentiments were stamped in black ink, the he...

Merry Christmas

I have to say, seeing the first the images of this die set, and then receiving them, I was so excited!  Wreaths are very seasonal, and you can completely change the look of the wreath by using different papers and elements.  I decided to create a Christmas themed wreath.  I love the classic green wreath and red bow, it just screams holidays. I used a mix of green pattern paper and green card stock to give the wreath some depth.  Using white card stock, the background was embossed first with the woodgrain back drop and then die cut using a rectangle die for added interest.  The sentiment was stamped in black ink, trimmed and then cut the edges off to create a banner on the wreath. The red pattern paper is from the new Lawn Fawn Knit Picky pattern paper collection. Head on over to the Lawn Fawn blog , to see the other great projects using this set as well as a chance to win it. Halloween Gift Boxes

Hello friends! How is it the middle of September?  I saw someone the other day talking about only around 100-ish days until Christmas.  I was silently thinking, I just need to get through hurricane season lol.  Anyhow, Lawn Fawn has this cute little die called the Tiny Gift Box. You can create the boxes using pattern paper, or plain cardstock, whatever your preference is.  I die cut white cardstock, and then stamped images onto the die cut before adhering the box together. I enjoy customizing projects, especially for seasons.  Head on over to the Lawn Fawn blog , to see all of the wonderful projects using this die set! 1. Die cut white card stock using the tiny gift box die. 2. Stamp images onto the die cut 3. Color in the images. 4. Adhere the box together using a strong adhesive. 5. Tie twine bow, adhere to the box. Tip Before stamping onto the die cut, figure out what is the front, the top, the sides and bottom...this will help y...

Lawn Fawn: Puffy Cloud Borders & Rainbow

Image
Today, I am sharing a few stand alone dies that are brand new to Lawn Fawn.  Stand alone dies, are just dies that can go with any project and do not have a coordinating stamp set to match.  For my project today, I am combining the Puffy Cloud Borders and Rainbow, as well as the hello die. Be sure to head on over to the Lawn Fawn Blog , to win these products as well as to see some great projects using these products! No doubt about it.  These dies to me scream happy!  These would be fantastic to help create fun scenes, especially with the critters.  But for todays card, I created this with just dies (and no stamps can you believe it!).  I can totally see myself using these dies on scrapbook pages as well!  The stitching on the clouds, totally hooked me in, it adds a really nice dimension to the cardstock. This card is pretty easy.  I just die cut everything, and started layering it all on.  I just needed cardstock, the dies, adhes...

Lawn Fawn: Happy Wedding

Image
Today I am sharing a card using the Lawn Fawn stamp set called Happy Wedding with coordinating dies.  I have said this before, but gosh I love having coordinating dies with a stamp set.  It really just adds that extra professional look to a project. There are so many great giveaways this week!  Head on over to the Lawn Fawn Blog to see more great projects and for a chance to win! I started off with a pale aqua blue cardstock, to use as my card base.  Using a new Lawn Fawn ink, i stamped several images from the Happy Wedding stamp set, to create a custom background.  Then, using the stitched oval dies from Lawn Fawn, I diecut two ovals using coral and white cardstock colors.  I stamped the sentiment and images, colored in the love birds with copic markers then adhered the ovals to the card using foam squares.  The card seemed like it needed something, and ribbon was just too overpowering, so I tied a bow using Lawn Fawn trimmings an adhered ...
