Happy Halloween

Is anyone else wondering how it is August already? Where has this year gone? It truly is just flying by. I hope all of you have had a nice summer. Here in the States, kids are starting to go back to school and lots of people are taking late summer vacations. I live in Florida and I have been seeing lots, and lots of out of state plates. Anyhow, onto the projects! I love a good purple/orange combo, especially in the autumn months and for Halloween projects. How about you? Today I am sharing some Halloween projects using new stamps/dies/stencils from Taylored Expressions . To start, a white panel of cardstock was ink blended with orange and purple inks. Then using a MISTI, the spiderweb background image was stamped over the blended background with Oreo black ink, as well as the spiders. "Boo" was stamped in orange ink, then diecut with the coordinating die, and adhered to the card front with foam adhesive. The bats were diecut using the bat dies, then using the same purple in...

Trick or Treat

Friends. This might be my favorite stamp set we are showcasing this week. Its called Fox Costumes Before & Afters. It would be perfect and so fun to use with the Magic Picture Changer interactive die. Or, how I used it today just a regular schmegular card. To start, I created a background of purple and orange clouds. It magical and festive. Its also Lawn Fawn and 2020 so there are no rules. The critters were stamped in jet black ink, colored in with copic markers and then fussy cut out. The sentiment was stamped and then the critters were adhered above with foam adhesive. To embellish purple twine was added.  The Lawn Fawn design team, created some incredible samples with this stamp set, be sure to visit the blog to see them all!

Happy Halloween

Y'all! The Fall and Winter release for Lawn Fawn is here! Brand spanking new, never been seen before...stamps, dies, paper, ink, new tools...so much goodness!! Go follow along this week over on the Lawn Fawn Blog . Today I am sharing a card using a new stamp set called Spooky Village. It has fun houses, and elements to make a halloween scene. I think my favorite part of this set are the bold sentiments. I applied ink to the white woodgrain cardstock, then stamped the houses in black ink and colored them in with copic markers. The sentiment was made with clear ink and white embossing powder, and heat set onto black cardstock.

Fall is Coming!

Image
Hello friends.  A few projects are on the blog today. Both are showcasing new products from the latest Lawn Fawn release, and very much so fall inspired. First up, is a clean and graphic card using the Caramel Apple stamp and die set.  The apples were stamped in black ink onto white cardstock, colored in with copic markers and then cut out with the coordinating dies. The card base is 4.25 x 5.5 inches using the white woodgrain cardstock from Lawn Fawn.  The sentiment was double stamped since the cardstock is textured, and the apples were adhered using foam adhesive.  I die cut a piece of pattern paper from the Knit Picky Fall collection using the tote bag die. Then using the Mini Box Bat add-on die set, die cut purple glittered cardstock and adhered it to the bag as a fun halloween goody bag. Embellished with twine. The bag was then filled with candy corn and a ghost peep. That peep is giving me so much life lol For more product information, head ...

Trick or Treat

Image
Hello friends! Did you know that Lawn Fawn now has a few different embossing powders as well as glitter?  For my project today, I did a little bit of water coloring.  Let me tell you a little secret.  When you want to water color images, if you heat emboss the image with embossing powder, it makes the water coloring process so much easier! Especially if you are worried about the color going outside of the lines. 1.  Stamp images in versa mark ink. 2.  Apply Lawn Fawn Gold embossing powder onto the image.  Heat set with a heat gun. 3.  Stamp sentiment in versamark ink, apply silver embossing powder. Heat set 4.  Water color the image. 5.  To ground the image so it doesn't look like its floating on the white card stock, add green water color for grass, and blue for the sky. 6.  Die cut the white card stock with a rectangle die. 7.  Apply the diecut to pattern paper with foam adhesive. 8.  Adhere to a whi...

Halloween Gift Boxes

Image
Hello friends! How is it the middle of September?  I saw someone the other day talking about only around 100-ish days until Christmas.  I was silently thinking, I just need to get through hurricane season lol.  Anyhow, Lawn Fawn has this cute little die called the Tiny Gift Box. You can create the boxes using pattern paper, or plain cardstock, whatever your preference is.  I die cut white cardstock, and then stamped images onto the die cut before adhering the box together. I enjoy customizing projects, especially for seasons.  Head on over to the Lawn Fawn blog , to see all of the wonderful projects using this die set! 1. Die cut white card stock using the tiny gift box die. 2. Stamp images onto the die cut 3. Color in the images. 4. Adhere the box together using a strong adhesive. 5. Tie twine bow, adhere to the box. Tip Before stamping onto the die cut, figure out what is the front, the top, the sides and bottom...this will help y...

Costume Party

Image
The cutest Halloween stamp and die set from Lawn Fawn called Costume Party, will be available next week.  I had so much fun coloring in these images.  For more inspiration using this set, head on over to the Lawn Fawn Blog for the August Inspiration. I started by blending a yellow and orange ink onto the card base using a foam blending tool.  Next I adhered a strip of black card stock & stamped my sentiment in black ink.  The images were stamped in Memento Tuxedo black ink, and colored in with copic markers.  I wanted them to look like they were holding hands, so I cut them out using scissors instead of die cutting them.  For added dimension the images were adhered to the card using foam adhesive. Lawn Fawn: Scalloped Treat Bag & Bows

Image
Hello friends, I am back today sharing a treat bag.  Lawn Fawn has another die that when die cut twice, creates a scalloped treat bag.  The score lines are created when you die cut it, so all you have to do is fold along the lines, add adhesive and adhere together.  There is a great video that explains how to use the die over on the Lawn Fawn youtube channel, and on the blog.  Head on over to the Lawn Fawn Blog , to see all of the wonderful projects using todays featured products.  The Bow die, is also new this month, there are three different sized bows. I used the Perfectly Plaid Fall 12x12 pattern paper to create this bag, as well as the bow.  Each bag you need to die cut twice, so you can get 4 bag diecuts to make 2 treat bags from a single sheet of 12x12 paper.  The Halloween image and sentiment are from the Plan On It: Holidays stamp set.

Hello there! I know lots of you out there are sending your children off to school this week (and last), well in the south at least.  That means fall is right around the corner!  Living in Florida means summer kind of drags out to October, so fall here is just a few weeks.  But it truly is fantastic!  Warm days, cooler nights and no humidity. Lawn Fawn is in the middle of August Inspiration Week, and everything has been fall themed.  Today is no different, as I am showcasing a stamp/die set called Happy Harvest.  Again don't hate me, I'm seriously addicted to this pillow box die, but I made a few pillow boxes using the Happy Harvest stamp set. For my card, I used the Core'dinations ColorCore Cardstock in Scotch (such a beautiful yellow), as well as the Sand it gadget to get those great sanded edges.  Using the Trick or Treat and Critters in Costume stamp sets, I created this fun Halloween card.  The candy corn were stamped in a coordinating yellow ink, to get a tone on tone background.  I then stamped the sentiment in black ink.  Then stamped/die cut the cat, colored her in using Copics, then adhering it to the card base using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D foam squares.  I added twine, and rounded the corners to finish the card. materials used: Lawn Fawn Trick or Treat stamp set Lawn Fawn Critters in Costume stamp set Core'dinations ColorCore Cardstock in scotch Core'dinations Sand it gadget yellow ink black ink ...
