Here For You

Image
One of the coolest things that Lawn Fawn started to do a few years ago, was to start their interactive card dies. They are so well thought out, and just so fun to create with. Today, I am sharing a mini card using the latest interactive card die set. Its called Center Picture Window Card die.  From the front, it looks like a normal typical card, but then when you open it up a 3 dimensional scene pops up. There is also an add on die set that coordinates! The cards that the Lawn Fawn design team have created using this die set, are amazing and so cool! Head on over to the Lawn Fawn blog to see all the beautiful inspiration and for a chance to win this die set!

Year 8

Image
Today we are supposed to have thunderstorms and tornado watches.  It is definitely spring in the south.  Hopefully this rain will have all of the flowers in bloom in no time.  There is nothing like driving through a neighborhood and all of the azaleas are in bloom.  Its beatiful. Today, I am sharing a card where I heat embossed the kraft card base with versa mark ink, then used the Lawn Fawn rose gold embossing powder to emboss.  It created a niece muted background on the card front.  I again stamped the fortune cookie on white card stock, heat embossed it, then colored it in with Copic markers.  Instead of using the coordinated die, I trimmed around the image with scissors.  I didn't want any of the white card stock to show.  The diecut image was adhered to the card using foam adhesive, as well as the stamped sentiment. To embelllish I adhered twine and yellow nuvo drops to the card front. There are many more projects on the ...

Miss You

Image
This was such a fun stationery and envelope project to create!  I die cut white card stock with the scalloped stitched rectangle die, stamped my sentiment then colored in with copic markers.  What I love about this "card" is the envelope I created for it using the Gotta Have Gingham pattern paper! Right now I am addicted to creating my own envelopes. There are punches, templates, dies etc...to help create an envelope.  If you have a scoring tool, most likely there is a template online to help you out. Head on over to the Lawn Fawn Blog for more great projects using this line of paper!

I Love You Sew Much

Image
Hello Friends! Welcome to the April Inspiration Week for Lawn Fawn.  The designers are using the Stamp and Die set Sewn With Love today.  Its a set with sewing element images and perfect "pun" sentiments.  Head on over to the Lawn Fawn Blog to check out all of the projects created as well have a chance to win this set. I started by blending Merman ink onto the card front with a mini blending tool, once the ink was blended and dried, I stamped my sentiment.  The images were stamped onto white cardstock, colored in with copic markers and then cut out with coordinating dies.  I adhered the diecuts to the card using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam squares, and added the twine bow using an adhesive dot.  To ground the card a little bit, I adhered a strip of yellow cardstock, to the bottom of the card.

Elphie Selphie

Image
Hello Friends! Long time no blog!!  I was sick for about a month with viral bronchitis, and it was horrible.  So glad i have stopped coughing! Today, I am sharing a fun card using the latest die/stamp set from Lawn Fawn called Elphie Selphie.  I mean how freaking cute is that name?  Love it! I used quite a bit of new product on this card.  Making it brought me so much joy.  Look at those colors! I die!  The birthday cakes were stamped using Versa Mark ink to create a watermark effect.  The balloons were colored with Copic markers (elephant too) and then I put a clear glitter ink over the tops. Super simple, but oh so cute!! Head on over to the Lawn Fawn Blog for a chance to win this set as well as see all of the fantastic projects today!

Seasons Greetings

Image
Today I am sharing a fun card perfect for the Holidays, which means one less Christmas card that I need to make! I used the Home For the Holidays mini stamp set paired with the Tiny Towns border, both from Lawn Fawn, to create this card.  I die cut plaid christmas paper with the border die, and then inked the top edges to make the houses pop.  Before I adhered the border down, I stamped the trees in a selection on Lawn Fawn green inks.  The car was colored in using copic markers, and I used twine to wrap around the tree to have it look like the tree was tied down to the car. Frosty Fairy Friends

Image
Hello friends! There is still another week of Summer, however its all about the Holidays over on the Lawn Fawn Blog.  Today is the start of the September Inspiration Week, and I am sharing a fun stamped card using the Frosty Fairy Friends stamp set. I stamped the bottom panel of the card front using a few different Lawn Fawn inks, then distressed the edges and center, so it wouldn't be so stark white.  I added a few different pattern paper from the Perfectly Plaid Christmas collection, to complete the first layer of the card front.  I die cut white card stock using the dotted circle die, stamped around the edges, stamped the sentiment and adhered it to the card using foam tape.  I stamped, diecut and then colored in the fairies using copic markers, and adhered them to the circle die cut.  To embellish I added glitter to the wings, and some twine to tie a bow. Head on over to the Lawn Fawn Blog , to see more great projects using this set!!

Lawn Fawn: Thanks a Bushel

Image
Hello friends! As children all over the US head back to school, I decided to make a fun teachers gift.  Using the new stamp set and dies called Thanks a Bushel from Lawn Fawn, I made this plain muslin bag into something cute. I'm not sure where I bought these plain muslin bags, but if I had to guess, probably a $1 section at a store.  With black ink, I stamped the apples and basket of apples onto the bottom of the bag.  I made sure that each time I stamped that there was plenty of ink on the stamp and that I applied firm even pressure.  I then colored in the images with copic markers.  Since these markers bleed, I had to lightly color near the edges.  I stamped the hearts in a red ink.  I die cut the tag from red felt and die cut a circle using burlap.  Using the same circle die, I die cut a white circle, trimmed it down and stamped a sentiment. For more great project using this set, as well as a chance to win some fabulous product,...

Lawn Fawn: Scalloped Treat Bag & Bows

Image
Hello friends, I am back today sharing a treat bag.  Lawn Fawn has another die that when die cut twice, creates a scalloped treat bag.  The score lines are created when you die cut it, so all you have to do is fold along the lines, add adhesive and adhere together.  There is a great video that explains how to use the die over on the Lawn Fawn youtube channel, and on the blog.  Head on over to the Lawn Fawn Blog , to see all of the wonderful projects using todays featured products.  The Bow die, is also new this month, there are three different sized bows. I used the Perfectly Plaid Fall 12x12 pattern paper to create this bag, as well as the bow.  Each bag you need to die cut twice, so you can get 4 bag diecuts to make 2 treat bags from a single sheet of 12x12 paper.  The Halloween image and sentiment are from the Plan On It: Holidays stamp set.

Lawn Fawn: Lovable Legends

Image
Hello there! Today I am sharing a card using the Lovable Legend stamp set from Lawn Fawn, as well as the rest of the LF designers.  Head on over to the Lawn Fawn Blog to check out all of the great projects using this set, as well as a chance to win todays products. These critter sets are so unbelievably fun to create with, plus I love to color and coloring a mythical creature like a Kraken is so cool. My husband is deployed right now, so I created this card with him in mind.  I'm going to place it in the next box of goodies I send to him. I have no idea what color a Kraken is, but it was fun to imagine, so I used an assortment of blue and green Copic markers.  I stamped the image, die cut it out, then colored it in.  I set it aside while i created a little bit of depth on the front of the card.  I created waves with two different inks, and stamped stars on the top as well.  Adhered the kraken die cut using foam adhesive and then embellished us...

Lawn Fawn: Just For You

Image
You know how you plan out a card in your head, and sometimes it doesn't work out, but sometimes it turns out better than what was in your head?  This is todays card.  I love it when cards are easy to create.  The Lawn Fawn designers are showcasing the Just For You stamp set, and Just for You labels stamp set & coordinating dies.  If you click on over to the Lawn Fawn blog , all of the projects are all there in one spot, as well as you get a chance to win todays products! The little scalloped circle were created by using VersaMark ink, stamping the scalloped circle stamp onto the solid card stock and die cutting it out using the co...

Lawn Fawn: Happy Wedding

Image
Today I am sharing a card using the Lawn Fawn stamp set called Happy Wedding with coordinating dies.  I have said this before, but gosh I love having coordinating dies with a stamp set.  It really just adds that extra professional look to a project. There are so many great giveaways this week!  Head on over to the Lawn Fawn Blog to see more great projects and for a chance to win! I started off with a pale aqua blue cardstock, to use as my card base.  Using a new Lawn Fawn ink, i stamped several images from the Happy Wedding stamp set, to create a custom background.  Then, using the stitched oval dies from Lawn Fawn, I diecut two ovals using coral and white cardstock colors.  I stamped the sentiment and images, colored in the love birds with copic markers then adhered the ovals to the card using foam squares.  The card seemed like it needed something, and ribbon was just too overpowering, so I tied a bow using Lawn Fawn trimmings an adhered ...

Lawn Fawn: Let's Play & Cupcake Wrappers

Image
For some reason my blog post never went live the last few days, so I am combining them today! I am sharing a few Lawn Fawn projects using the new stamps set called Let's Play & a scalloped circle cupcake wrapper! Head on over to the Lawn Fawn Blog, to stay up to day on all of this weeks going ons, to see great projects & for a chance to win some cool product. For this first project, I created a cute little basket using the cupcake wrapper die from Lawn Fawn.  I adhered the wrapper closed, then added a circle die cut to the bottom, added ribbon & put chocolates into the basket. This card was created by using the new stamp set called Let's Play.  It really is so adorable and has cute little critters hanging out at the park, with the most fun sentiments.  Once I stamped & diecut the images, I colored them in using Copic markers, and adhered them to the card.

Lawn Fawn: Flutter By

Image
Hello there! A long while back, Lawn Fawn released a stamp set called Flutter By.  Well, that stamp set finally has dies that coordinate with the stamps!  I am so very happy about this!!  I just love butterflies, they will never go out of style/trend for me, ever. If you head on over to the Lawn Fawn Blog , a few older stamp sets are getting coordinating dies, as well as a few new dies are being shown!!  So go check it out, because I hear there are a few giveaways as well. Some stampers, like to stamp & die cut their images first.  But I stamp my image, color it in, and then die cut last.  It is just easier for me that way, and I want to make sure, especially if I am using Copic markers, that I didn't get ink outside the lines. A little tip, use a low tac tape such as washi tape, to secure your die when you are diecutting a stamped image.  You don't want to spend all that time coloring in an image, for your die to move while you are in ...
