I have taken to using DW whining about grad school and rejoining several niche fandoms and apparently providing regular updates on my general state of being. Again. My interests are wide and varied; I'm a scientist (damnably not a salarian one, but can carry a tune) currently in a PhD program, parent to a college student and a elementary school child. I'm currently actively writing in the Mass Effect fandom as well as spending time on several original fiction projects, and I spend time over at Storium (though finding people who want to actually finish games is a challenge).
I do a ridiculous amount of things on the side when I'm not dying from school, including writing, reading, gaming, making frankenclothes, cross-stitching, gardening, cooking, hiking, exploring, building stuff, learning to make EVA armor, being part of the fitbit cult, and causing ridiculous amounts of trouble. Also, I lost all my filters sometime in the last few years, and thus, please be aware that I swear colorfully and often. Let's be friends.
My fandoms include: Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Harry Potter, Buffyverse, Firefly, Doctor Who (selected seasons :D), Dresden Files (books only), Newsflesh, the MCU, all manner of comic book fandoms (Fables, Saga & old school X-teams, mainly), various and assorted Gaimanverses, Supernatural (kind of), Zootopia (I know. Shhh.). Chances are if it's nerdy, I've had some sort of hand in it, though.
