Build a factory to feed a planet-drilling supermachine. Capture sites, balance Energy, and punch through the planet’s layers with a massive laser.
Core Splitter is an indie automation game where you play as a Core Splitter. You build a base, collect materials and craft them into needed parts, materials and buildings for the Core Splitter Drill. The Core Splitter Drill reaches deep into layers of the earth and requires Break Through events to push through the layers, consuming massive energy. Energy is required to power your buildings and Break Through events consume large amounts of energy.

As seen in-game:
This is an unfinished development build used for early playtesting. Assets may still be replaced, save files will not be supported or migrated to later versions and everything is subject to change.
AI usage disclaimer
I am a professional software engineer but have used Code Generation tools to assist during development and the code of this project. There is also generative AI used for the images, however most of them have undergone custom modifications afterwards. These could be replaced at a later date/time when we have validated this idea.
--Story incomplete in game--
The story is still a definite work in progress, to outline what it will be:
You’re an autonomous Core Splitter of The Utility: cold, efficient, optimized. Splitting this planet is just a resource and a stepping stone in the war efforts. You are one of many and this planet is one of many where an autonomous Core Splitter has been deployed to. It is of little significance, or is it?
