Start of a plan
As my husband has become sicker and sicker, I have found that that situation has given me the incentive to get back to my desire to clean out the unnecessary. I got so little done this winter as the mood in our house was not good. With no real answers to his issues, I just didn't have the energy. But it's time and this was a start. The_Lilypad Template challenge for April 2019.

And so I read...
When the days are difficult, and the answers to issues are not forthcoming, I have trusty fallbacks. Chocolate is always my answer but sadly it's not a good answer any more even if it ever was. But still, there are times when it's all that works. Or so I tell myself...the quick fix.
I do have my tried and true remedy which has been one of my defaults since childhood. Reading. What solitary child has not found her escape in a book? I grumbled a week or two ago when a whole shitload of my library holds all come in at once. But silly me, that was what I needed. Last week I read almost a book a day. And yes, brownie bites were also in play.
Here's what has transpired this year. The newest are on top with a periodic dash of Pema Chodren's
The Places That Scare You: A Guide to Fearlessness in Difficult Times.
And so I continue to read. What book's helping you escape these days?

a few on Friday: March 1, 2019
Lots of fun doing challenges this month. The process seemed so light after doing a challenge a day and taking on line classes at the same time in January. February was kind of a wind down month and one that I needed. Here's three pages that I really liked though the last one with the circle of elements is not my norm. I did enjoy it though and now feel that I can do things like this whereas before I'd have been overwhelmed with the idea of all those elements. Challenges are good for getting comfortable with other ways. You never know what you might like!

a few on Friday - February 22 2019
Somehow time has gotten out of hand for me. I feel I've lost a lot of time and probably I have. I'm ready to get back on track after a bit of a life detour. So here's a bit of the light part of my recent life with a few of the challenges from The-Lilypad. Have a great weekend!

December 28 2018 - Finished Challenges
I really do enjoy doing some challenges from different scrapping websites. This December I only managed to do the ones from The-Lilypad but that's ok. There are 7 quick stories told and telling the story is my point. Next month I'll be doing the January MOC, Month of Challenges, at The-Lilypad which is a layout challenge for each day and it IS a challenge when you see some of the requirements. Definitely takes me out of my comfort zone but that's good. While I know my style now and know how I like pages to look, sometimes trying a new technique is fun! sometimes it's a lot of $^*#! kind of mumbling or even tears but I've done that month two times.
But this winds up December 2018 for me - plus the ongoing Project Life of course. That wants finishing up so I can get into 2019 with it ready to go to the printer!! See you next year!
