1. My Fitbit Flex stopped charging so naturally I stopped walking round the house. If it's not recorded, it doesn't pay, right??? I got it going again, i.e. charging away, with this little tip. Kind of quirky but it worked.
2. The snacks held out as did the items I cooked, mainly for him. Being housebound for 3-5 days and I'd be quite content with popcorn and breakfasts. Oatmeal, yoghurt and bran flakes, pickled eggs. But NOT breakfast for dinner. That I've never liked, including the waffles with creamed chicken for Sunday suppers when I was small.
3. I have finished my Anna Aspnes Blendz class and got quite a lot out of it. I do know that I have to practice or I'll forget the techniques and/or not get any more proficient with them. But my basic style is a lot simpler and I want those artsy pages for about 1/3 of the time. It's a question of finding style balance in my creativity. Choices, choices.
4. I thought this was quite a good tutorial for getting rid of some of the gunk that is on old photos or from scanning with a not-so-spotless scanner. Scrapaneers usually has some good ideas.
5. What a week of snow we had! Himself said he'd take my car down to the city garage so we/I wouldn't have to deal with that. Then he changed his mind and put my car on the street. Maybe for a slight snowstorm, but for a blizzard? Not a good idea. For all the useless shoveling he did at various times, I wondered if we were getting close to heat attack city. Pure Taurus bull headedness.
That's all she wrote folks. Have a great weekend and No More Snow unless you are in ski-territory. I've had my fill I'm afraid. See you on Monday.

Travel With Me Tuesday: The CA Trip is a Wrap!!
The final pages of 2015 and a bit into 2016. All are going into the 2015 album cause that's how I feel the year ended. Coming home to MD was really the start of the New Year for me.
I am quite happy with using the Lightroom Templates but just as happy with the Project Life app that I used on the Weekly pages in yesterday's post. Good to have choices!

AAM Monday: Project Life Week 3
Working with the Project Life app, I find it fairly easy to do with my iPad. What I don't find as easy to do is edit my photos prior to the app. I have yet to venture into Lightroom on the iPad and want to be sure I'm not unnecessarily filling Cloud space allotments. I don't want to be in the position to see that Want to buy more Storage? message. That is something I need to research in the upcoming weeks.
But with the actions/templates from Wendy Zine that I tested and that are now on sale at Scrapbook Graphics, I'm pleased with the results. I modified the shadows and added a 15px inside stroke. As I use each template (which matches the PL template used) I save my changes by adding MMR in front of the name. Then they stay in the same folder and I know modifications will stay consistent.
And on to the pages.

That's it for this week. We'll see how next week goes and how my progress with Lightroom on the iPad goes also. Wish me luck!

TBT: Annapolis Way Back When
When Annapolis really was a seagoing town. When Annapolis had sailing vessels in the harbor that were not luxury boats for the 'carriage trade'. When it got cold enough to freeze the water.
It happened again nearly 40 years ago. God help us if we get this kind of storm this coming weekend.
Mother Nature, I've seen heavy snow and bitter cold weather so I'll pass on seeing it again. If you don't mind. Please?

AAM Monday Project Life Week 2
I have tried the Project Life app in the past and didn't quite get it. Now I do! I was also testing some actions for WendyZine I can see how those will work just fine with the results from the app. I don't know that I'll do this style every week but it's good to have a quick option. One that I can start on my phone or iPad when I don't have the computer and get the layout up to Dropbox for later finalizing on my desktop.
Options are good!
I did stick to the same gray background since I'm not sure if I'm putting the CA pages in 2015 or 2016. Getting a full background with more color or pattern is one of my goals though. I just have to figure that one out somehow.

Sunday Special: Word or Words 2016.01.17
"...I'll remember him. Running towards me, arms wide, hair blowing back from his forehead, laughing like he hadn't a care in the world. Everyone should carry a memory like that.
Sometimes it's the only thing that keeps us going."

Five on Friday: January 15, 2016
1. When we got married, I kind of assumed we'd have a dog as he had always had dogs. But no, no interest. Maybe this is the way to go.
2. It's never to early to plan for Christmas 2016. The Washington Post had this list which I missed in its first go round. Books to Curdle Your Eggnog
3.Winter often comes with foggy days or in summer those humid, hazy days. You can find a info on using Lightroom to fix this issue. Who knew? The people at Scrapaneers knew. Check here.
4. Here is a great tutorial on making a flat object pop with the Burn tool AND a very simple way to make a custom shadow. No no it's not as complicated as it sound. Just click the image and see how easy The Digital Scrapper makes it.
5. I've been reading a lot of crime novels set in Scotland and some of the words I have to look up, some I've heard before and some take me back to the subtle way English can be spoken in Great Britain. A character has been run over full force by an SUV by one of the dastardly. Internal injuries, both legs broken, a broken pelvis. When his partner, his 'bidie-in' (use that one in your day to day), asks the surgeon about his condition before she operates, her reply is '...he's quite poorly...'. I should image so!
Hope your weekend is good and full of at least one fun thing! Go out and play!

Travel With Me Tuesday - Hello California
These pages were done via Lightroom Templates and will be very simple. I just wanted to get these photos done and on their way to the printer. Page 1 gives you an idea of the amount of embellishment I'm going to add.The white places show where either journaling will go or a card/embellishment. I'm still learning how to work with these templates so it's a work in progress!
I wasn't even interested in doing a lot of work with the photos IN Lightroom because many of the days were overcast or rainy and I felt pretty darn sick myself. That's just how it goes sometimes.
