Description
Deutsch: Platy (Xiphophorus maculatus, Günther 1866). Die Farb-Variation mit roten Körper und schwarzen Flossen heißt Wagtail, manchmal Rote Wagtail. (Es gibt auch eine Gelbe Wagtail, mit gelben Körper und schwarzen Flossen.) Die Variante mit einer überwiegend schwarzen Körper heißt tuxedo.
English: Southern Platyfish (Xiphophorus maculatus, Günther 1866) in aqarium. The colour variation with red body and black fin rays is called wagtail, or sometimes red wagtail. (There is also a yellow wagtail, with yellow body and black fin rays.) The variation with a predominantly black-coloured body is called tuxedo.
Svenska: Platy (Xiphophorus maculatus, Günther 1866) i akvarium. Odlingsvarianten med röd kropp och svarta fenstrålar kallas wagtail, eller ibland röd wagtail. (Det förekommer även gul wagtail, med gul kropp och svarta fenstrålar.) Varianten med kraftigt inslag av svart färg även på kroppen kallas tuxedo.
