English: The Congress of the Confederation, also known as the Confederation Congress or the United States in Congress Assembled, was the governing body of the United States under the Articles of Confederation and Perpetual Union from March 1, 1781, to March 4, 1789. In practice, this body also contineud to be called the Continental Congress, the name of the body that preceded it. The Congress of the Confederation was replaced by the 1st United States Congress in 1789.
