Possibly the best comic book to pwn V for Vendetta...if only they weren't written by the same guy! (Alan Moore). Do read it for "alternative" superhero hijinks :D

It's a graphic novel written by Alan Moore. It kind of defies explanation. I suggest you just read it. It's a little bloody and plenty bleak but totally worth it.
