I’m a digital operations specialist at Patch My PC. We provide a solution that automates the deployment and patching of third-party applications in Microsoft Configuration Manager and Intune, saving time and improving security through streamlined packaging, testing, and deployment processes.

What specific goals or objectives did you hire Revolt to accomplish for Patch My PC?

We wanted to create a database-driven resource center library in HubSpot using HubDB to allow leads to find our resources and download them for use, attributing their activities in HubSpot so we can build a lead funnel that we can trust.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Revolt researched our competitors' resource centers, designed a fresh look based on our previous branding, established and defined the needed functionality, built a database connection to our file library in HubSpot, and helped incorporate a reverse proxy for URL masking in the resource center. Revolt handled the original design, development, and documentation. We handled the functionality definition, overall design, reverse proxy research and implementation, and ingesting content into the databases. As for deliverables, Revolt created a dynamic landing page that uses the HubSpot database to auto-generate content on the page based on the database content. They also delivered Figma design files that we can use for further references and documentation for using the resource center and the developer side.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Revolt delivered a resource center for public use and attributed activities to contacts to generate leads. We don't have data yet, but we had a quick turnaround and received a positive response from our internal team members. We're excited to use and adapt the resource center to allow more use cases for resource sharing and attributing contacts.

How did Revolt perform from a project management standpoint?

Revolt delivered on time. The team was friendly and listened to our initial feedback. The weekly meetings helped clarify details to maintain the project timeline. We communicated via virtual meetings, emails, and Microsoft Teams. However, the project felt a little rushed at the end. The project could have been communicated better as we got close to the end as time progressed. This resulted in a scramble of options to be made quickly at the end. Outside of that, the entire team was responsive in Teams, chats, and emails and was generally very quick to make any changes while being genuinely friendly.

What did you find most impressive or unique about them?

Revolt's quick turnaround and initiative to investigate and find solutions for our unique requests were impressive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Sending a weekly list of items that needed to be done would have helped with coordinating project management from our end to ensure we delivered what was needed.

Clearer documentation of the project roadmap and specific deliverables at the outset could have provided even greater alignment on expectations. Additionally, there were instances where communication on the progress of certain tasks could have been more detailed, contributing to a more comprehensive understanding of the development process.
