One Year Later

 It has been one year today that Jack passed. I miss him so much.

He was a loyal friend for 17 years. I loved him so much.

RIP Jack.

Today is also my Dads birthday. He would have been 93.

New Old Angel

 This was a Christmas angel that fell and broke. I glued it back together and painted it with white chalk paint.  She now watches over the garden high up on the arbor shelf. 

I think it looks nice blended in with my Mom's clematis.  

 

Secret Garden

 I've been working on the secret garden for a few years now. I have added several angels to the garden and found some pretty angel plaques to add to my easels.

I had "planted" pictures on the easels , but the frames were falling apart. I thought I would redo them, but I decided to do something else with the easels.  I like these plaques and think they would be perfect in the spot. Besides that the squirrels won't mess with them. The planted pictures were a constant problem. I was always replanting them because the squirrels were pulling out the plants. I couldn't get the squirrels to leave them alone.  Anyhow, this will work better in that area. 

Things are really looking nice in

The garden. I have been enjoying the blooms.

Happy Mother's Day

 It is another day for me. We had baseball yesterday so today I have to play catch up on chores and bake.

Today I made pizza rolls for lunches next week and hot rolls for dinner.

I also made sourdough to bake tomorrow morning.

Owls and Wood Ducks

 A new picture of my neighbors.

With just one owlet the mom stays close all the time.  She is trying to get the owlet to branch and explore, but he isn't having it. He just wants to hang out. In the past years this was normal when there was only one owlet. When there are two or three owlets, they are all over the tree. They leave the tree sooner too. I see them several times a day. Their tree is in my yard. I walk Baylee right by them. 

I enjoy them so much and will miss them when they take off.

Also, the wood ducks have left their nest and headed to the reservoir. They left Friday.

Hopefully the video works. It is pretty fun to watch them jump out.

They made it across the road and into the wooded marshy area. I am sure they are enjoying themselves.

I will miss them too.

Blooms

 Everything is going crazy.

Feels like spring is finally here.

Everything dies here in the winter. It is so depressing, but when the days start getting longer things come to life and it is a beautiful show.  

Enjoying the garden is what makes me happy.

This time of the year goes way to fast and soon it will be hot and miserable outside.

There are only 5 weeks left of this school year after this week. 

I think we are all ready to be done with school.  Things have been more normal there with only a few kids still wearing masks because they want to. It is nice to see their faces. I missed that. 

The whole Covid ordeal has really hit hard on a lot of people. It has really been a rough couple of years.

I hope when school starts in the fall we don't have to deal with Covid.

I just want everyone to get healthy and stay healthy so they can enjoy their lives.

Finally An Owlet

 Today is the first time I have seen the owlet. It is pretty cute.

I know they hide and are hard to spot, but this guy has been very shy.

Mom is on the right side and baby is on the left bottom of photo. A real fluff ball.
