bonus.....

I brought these fabrics from Jude @ News from Jude when she was having a sale and raising money for cancer.........
Just so so pretty........
funny how I found a few more to add from my stash.....had no idea i had them........
So then when Jude had a competition to guess how many stitches/inch in a quilt she had quilted I guessed right..........goodness knows how but I won some fabric.... see Judes posts here and the gorgeous quilt............
So I choose the gorgeous fabrics above to add to the others for border/sashing.........I brought some and had a voucher to pay for the rest............very exciting when it arrived.....

Now onto some farm stuff.......We've a had a few mice inside for months......Just kept getting a few in the traps each night since Sept/Oct........but over summer with it being so mild and we had rain at times the mouse population has exploded........thankfully inside it's not too bad they have been quiet but outside OMG......sheds, haystacks, vehicles, farm machinery nothing is off limits.....so I am poisoning, trapping in cages and mice traps.......it goes on and on and I won't show you the buckets of mice I pick up some days but take it from me it's just disgusting.....daily it's minimum 50 mice and up to 4-500.....
I shared this pic because has anyone ever seen a different coloured mouse????
Is this caramel mouse the albino version........
i've n ever seen one like it.....Any there is no relief at work and we are currently over run with them.....some days the office reeks of dead mice and we just can't find them.......Just hoping for an early winter and a sharp cold break may knock them back..........
It's wearing thin. The cost, smell and the time it takes to deal with the mice......
The damage they are causing also.....
On one of the zoom sewing days Carole @ Quilting Adventures was talking about these needles and Jude got some from her supplier for me too.....I'll let you know what I think for EPP.............
Ok must get to bed.......
Stay Safe......
Catch you later....

Catching up....

Bit of a revolving door here with visitors...........but I do love having visitors.........
Boy Wonder has friend/s coming this weekend......
Miss Sonia (and Mr Forever Always Online) has been here earlier in the week........
finally she got here........the last time she tried the car had a major break down..........
so it was very exciting to finally have her here with no car issues......
Look at this gorgeous cowl she made for me......gorgeous colour......sooooo soft......I love it....
Thanks so much Sonia........
Jewells put out a call for quilts for the flooded Dungog..........
I pulled this one out........Disapparing Nine Patch.........
Wild Rose charm pack and jelly roll...........Autumn journey border.......
looks a bit dark in this pic but it has navy borders..........
quit size 57in x 77in
bit sad I only got to hanging it up and enjoy the top finished for an hour......
It has never had a destination really...........just something I was playing with............
I started it here, more progress here......and a bit more here.........
This one will be great for a male........Jewells needs quilts for adults so I thought this would be perfect..........Fiona @ Bubz Rugz has kindly offered to quilt it and it will be a joint donation from Fiona and myself...........
I had to get the borders onto it and I had some binding and found a backing too.........
Fiona will supply the batting and quilt and bind it.........
Do you have a quilt for Jewells?
she sure could do with some more quilts.......
NJ SAL blocks got put on the back burner.........the flood quilt was more important, then add in work and meetings...........but I did get lots of prep done and my blocks are waiting to the turned under and stitched down..........
Looking for something yesterday I got all these needles together................they were stashed here and there.............OMG don't think I need to buy a needle for some time to come...........not that I really know what i use  all of them for...........
