An Indian Theme Tag by Debbie

I love the colours that the girls on the DT have been inspired to put together for the cards using the Indian Elephants and Textiles. The colours and combinations remind me of beautiful Sari Fabrics. For my tag I coloured with Seedless Presevre and Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink and then ran through the cuttlebug, leaving the bottom out of the damask folder. I then stamped the beautiful border and embossed with black powder. The peacock was coloured with the distress inks and and I made three to decoupage. The embellishment was a great find, a cheap necklace that I've started to dismantle. Thank you for visiting, Debbie

More Indian creations by Miranda

I am back with a few more Indian inspirations to share with you! I've made this one using very light Distress colours and overstamped it with pieces of the leafy Brocade background, such a great background stamp. The main image is created with blending distress inks and some water spatters. I've added the corner swirl from the 'Butterfly dreams' and embossed with WOW sparkle gold. I've used both Indian sheets here.

and a 2nd one.....for the main image the Taj Mahal is embossed with WOW silver pearl and partially embossed with WOW silver holographic. The background was stamped with dark blue and the images will repeat also in the main image. I've added some white highlights with pencil.

Henna hands and Indian elephants by Miranda

Some more Indian themed cards, they are so inspirational to use! Here is one I've made with a template which I've made using a picture of a hand. When I first saw those stamps the first thought was to create a hand with that lovely 'Henna painted' design. There are lots of images to find on Pinterest. The Indian flowers are stamped with black and coloured with pencils and white gelly pen. On the background you can also see the Leafy Brocade background which is lift out of the background with a water sprayed stamp. Along the edges some gold embossed elements. The nails are accentuated with glossy accents.

The 2nd one is done using those lovely elephants....... an acrylic bloc technique with distress inks and I did use again the leafy Brocade background here. The elephants are embossed with WOW gold and coloured with waterbased markers on aquarel paper. Just added some tassels and a buddha charm. I've used the DI's

Picked Raspberry/Seedless Preserves/Salty ocean/Riped Persimmon.

Indian stamps by Miranda......get inspired

Hello there,

Today I will show you some cards with the new gorgeous Indian stamps! There are two new sheets, the Indian textiles and the Indian Elephant. These stamps challenge you to use lots of colour, embellishments and gemstones........ I've been making a sort of inspirational journal using pictures of Pinterest so I can look now and then and see different colour combinations which inspire me.

Again, because it's one of my favorite techniques. I've made a background with the acrylic bloc technique and Distress inks using Mustard Seed,Picked Raspberry, Ripe Persimmon, Salty ocean and a bit Chipped Saffire. I've stamped with several Memento inks and coloured with Prisma pencils adding white highlights.

The main image is embossed with WOW white pearl. Of course a lot gemstones to complete this exotic picture.

Stamp(s) of the Month - Inspired by India

We usually launch new stamps at the start of the month, but Easter weekend has brought our launch date forward by a few days and April's new stamps are out already.
