Continuing the experiment in sidestepping the inner critic with drabbles. Same disclaimers apply as yesterday: these are rough, being posted to keep me from burying them and never looking at them again.

Significant other reminded me that game 6 of the World Series was on, which is of interest to me because if the series goes to game 7, Fringe gets postponed and another week goes by before we find out what happens next. When I asked what the score is, he told me "Fringe, 4. No Fringe, 3".

*grins* It's like he knows me or something.

ETA: Damn. And the final score is Fringe, 9, No Fringe, 10, so game 7 is on. No Fringe episodes for another week. :( :( :(

I love it when I'm writing a scene, trying to figure out where the hell it goes from here, and the answer is something I completely did not anticipate but that totally makes me gleeful.

I am little sad that a scenelet that I'm rather fond of is probably not going to make it into the final draft. I love it, but it doesn't move the story forward. I may continue to expand it out of sheer stubbornness, though. ...huh. I could probably expand it into story outtake porn. That has some interesting possibilities.

The story is moving, if still slowly. I'm bashing off the rough edges of what's completed and filling in the parts that aren't completed. I'm finally getting a better sense of the rhythm of the story as a whole. All that, and I'm only writing in bits and snatches between working on the timesuck of annoyance, but damn if they aren't productive bits and snatches.

Still going to be a while before it's finished.

For the op_ficathon, ciderapples wrote me Happy Medium. It's a beautiful and heartbreaking take on what might happen post 3.22.

And my day just got that little bit better, all because of these Fringe set photos. Minorly spoilery for what's probably the Season 4 premiere.

For the relaxation part of the evening, I'd intended to do a bit of writing. Or at least transcribe the bits and pieces of... four current stories, I think? that I have in my notebook in illegible scrawl. Instead I looked at wolf photos and pulled research material. Didn't read through research material, just pulled it into a folder to read through later. Oh, Internets, what awesome things you have! How did I ever do research without you?

Finally found my older notebook that has Werewolfverse info in it. And four pages of vaguely Olivia/AltOlivia post apocalyptic story that I never transcribed. Trying to decipher all of this will be my challenge for the weekend.

My helpthesouth fic (which I am OMG so excited about, but I need to rewatch Fringe Altverse episodes before I do, so I almost, almost have an excuse. But not really)

What I am brainstorming and/or writing (and getting random details about that keep causing me to zone when I'm supposed to be doing something else):

Fringe Werewolfverse. A little bit the Kink Bingo animal play fic, which, okay, is useful, but mostly everything that comes after the initial casefic that I still need to write. And my brain keeps wanting me to chew through character essays on the larger character arcs.

I should probably write down those character essays to get them out of my head so I can maybe do the other stuff I need to do. Question is, should I post anything up here? Anyone interested in my thoughts on how Olivia (and others) being a werewolf is going to shift characterizations?
