Generating the Megastructure

You can pre-generate your structure as part of your prep or you can generate it on the go as you explore it node by node. Both methods are valid but some fit better certain campaign modes

Game mastered settlement campaign 
You want to pre-generate the starting settlement and its sector, maybe the adjacent sectors too and its cluster. This will help your prep as you can determine the former settlements of some characters, set up some trade routes, rumors and menaces. 

Game mastered nomadic campaign
You may want to generate the first sector and generate new sectors as the group enters them. Generating the starting cluster can also be a good idea but is less important.

GMless settlement campaign
Collectively generates the starting settlement and its sector during a session zero as the characters will have themselves access to their settlement’s sector map. But once you leave your home sector, generate things on the go to add to the feeling of leaving home to venture into uncharted territories.

GMless nomadic campaign
Generating on the go works well with the combination of these two play modes. It let you start with zero preparation and puts the focus on exploration and cycle to cycle survival. Only generate a sector or cluster map if you access it in-game through a sphere device.

Dead Orbit Mall, a vaporwave cyberpunk zine

Here, I published a new zine, I wrote and illustrated Dead Orbit Mall, a reskin of Dark Fort, the solo game that inspired Mork Borg. I say reskin but it became its own thing, more like a soft hack. I also added 2 pages of tools to use the zine with CY_BORG. I had a lot of fun drawing this one, especially playing with the sunset color palette. I could not have finished the zine without the help of Jellyfish Lines who did the layout of the PDF.

The idea came from my friend Roxi who shared a piece of trivia about dead satellites coming back to life and a vaporwave collage image that she made:

Return to Doodle Land

I am really happy to finally republish this zine, I hope I will be able to release more of my unfinished old projects next year.

One my goals with Doodle Land is to show that you don't need to use AI to publish a beautiful TTRPG zine, you can do it simply with doodles and a smart layout.

My new Black Sword Hack Campaign

 

I started a new campaign of the Black Sword Hack using the Ultimate Chaos edition here is the map of the world that we generated together. 

the Crown World of Palar The stronghold of Balance is a caravan that circle the world. The path of Balance was broken when the Merchant Kingdom of Thyre sunk because of their greed! Which awoken the flesh pit and brought back the ancient monarch of chaos back from the dead. The ancient monarch used ancient technology to craft an army of misshapen bioengineered beasts!

Below is the map of the sea cliff village where we started the campaign. The player characters were hiding from their past here, amongst reformed scoundrels and criminals. They have to defend the village against mercenaries who want the monastery's relic.

I am trying to play the campaign as a series of short 1 or 2 sessions scenarios related to the fate of the world.
