5 months to go until the EUDI Wallet launches in Germany 🇩🇪 With preparations entering their final phase, experts from industry, academia, and public administration are discussing how to ensure a smooth rollout for everyone. Verband Sichere Digitale Identität e. V. has recently published an impulse paper on exactly that: the challenges ahead and what needs attention before launch. Our CPO Elmar Reif took part in the discussion, sharing his view: "Standardisation and avoiding federal and municipal fragmentation are essential." As Swiss specialists in identity verification, we believe it is important to be prepared and to bear in mind that neither the EUDI wallet nor the upcoming Swiss eID will fully replace traditional digital identity verification processes.
