I took Wayve to Dr.Wheeler for her 2 week checkup. It actually ended up being 2 weeks and 3 days because he was out of town/weekend. She weighed 7 lbs 11 oz and was 19" long. She cried the whole time they were doing the PKU (getting blood) and it was really sad! She sleeps all the time but gets the hiccups really bad, then they wake her up. She bald on the top of her head, she'll have to wear bows for a long time. She likes the stiller, but not on the bumpy, rocky road.
I decided to sign the boys up for a basketball camp. Mostly because it sounded nice to get out and my mind off being pregnant. The boys loved the camp, all 4 were able to go. We got a lot of the school shopping done! On Tuesday night Dusty came out and we went to the alpine slide.
Our kids don't ride bikes much. I don't know why, we lived on our bikes when I was a kid. I don't have a bike but I need to get one so we can go more. They all decided to go on a ride a few days ago. I walked out to the road with Wayve and the stroller. Rayce is a good brother, he always is mindful of his siblings. Range couldn't go as fast so he waited for him.
A few days ago Ridge & Range were asking me if I would have another baby. I told them no more, this one was the last one in our family. Range said "oooo" in a pouty face. I asked him if he wanted another one and he said, "a, ya! I never knew sisters would be so much fun!". Then we were watching the olympics on TV and it was the diving. As the guy walked to the edge he said "I hope he belly flops this, in his underrate." (Their swimsuits look like underwear!) He can be super mouthy, but sometimes it's funny!
Wayves umbilical cord already came off yesterday! My other kids were around 2 weeks... If I remember right. I used frankincense a few times and so I would assume it helped! She got to take her first bath this morning. At first she wasn't sure about it but then just relaxed and laid there. We just love her and are having so much fun with her.
On Monday, August 1st we were in Park City and Dr Nolte had told me to call him and let him know how the itching was. I was itching, but I didn't have a rash. After talking to him and said that we should possibly schedule induction for Friday, I would be 37 weeks. (Itching can be caused by PUPPPS, which has a rash but not dangerous to baby. Or Cholestasis, no rash and dangerous to a baby). He said where he felt like he couldn't completely rule out Cholestasis it may be better but he would look at my chart and we would decide Thursday. I went in Thursday and had a stress test and was having contractions. He at thought maybe he would keep me if the contractions got bad. They didn't so he decided to schedule the induction for Friday morning. I was so excited to be done being pregnant. This had been a long hard 9 months with lots of problem. I just wanted to know she was healthy ! When I went in I was dilated between a 3/4. I stayed there most of the day. At 2:45 I didn't even want the nurse to check me again because I knew what the answer would be. About 30 min before this I decided to sit up, she still was really high like she was all of my pregnancy. My mom came and was having me more side to side. About 3:00 I could start to really feel my contractions. (I did have an epidural) And at about 3:10 I was in a lot of pain I had my mom go get the nurse and I was complete. Wayve was born at 3:17 pm and was covered in this white wax stuff (they said because she was so early. My mom left to get my boys, they were at Cam and Maties. They hadn't even weighed her when the boys showed up. Range wasn't sure what to think about her. The other 3 wanted to hold her and we're excited. Range warmed up really dmfast and can't get enough of her! I only had to stay 1 night in the hospital and her doctor let us go home. Her bilirubin was high so I had to bring her back the next two mornings. We love her and can't get enough of her. The boys are all loving having a little sister and baby in the house! (Dr Nolte has delivered all 5 of my kids so we took a picture with him).
I am hitting and missing a lot on my blog! I really need to catch up a lot from this summer. Maybe when I'm in the hospital with this baby I'll have time :) I signed the boys up for basketball camp a few years ago and they couldn't go, so I've had a credit. I'm going crazy wondering when this baby is coming and feel so ornery and tired, I decided we better go do something! So last minute I signed them up for camp and we are here in Park City. I needed to get school shopping done too before this baby comes so that's what we are doing at nights. Day 1 of the camp they loved! Then we went and school shopped and swam. We had to be awake at 5:45 to leave in time (I got up at 3:00 because I couldn't sleep!). Hopefully soon we will all be off to bed!
