WAYKE'S FIRST DAY OF KINDERGARTEN

Wayke started kindergarten this year.  He was so excited to go but quickly learned everyday is a lot.  He is my boy that HAS to eat breakfast before he goes to school!  He can't make it without a snack.  He doesn't like to eat a lot at once, but likes to eat quite a few times a day... So kindergarten is hard on his stomach.  The first day he had to ask his teacher for a snack and she gave him half of a graham cracker.  He didn't think that was quite enough.  Wayke is enjoying school but really wishes he could ride the bus.  He goes to morning kindergarten and he would have to be to the stop by 7:10.  Wayke also needs sleep - he has since he was a tiny baby - so 7:10 is a little early for him.  He can't wait until next year so then the bus will bring him home from school.  Wayke is very smart.  He is already learning to read and does it quite well.  He can read about 20 words a minute.  He is a smart boy with so many talents.  We love Wayke and hope he has an awesome year.

RAYCE'S FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

Rayce has started his first day of 3rd grade.  He thinks 3rd grade is the most amazing thing in the world.  The first day off the bus he said "My teacher is awesome."  I thought it would end soon, but everyday he gets off the bus he reminds me how great school is.  A couple days ago he got off the bus and said "Did you know 3rd grade is better than pre-school, you don't have to do anything!"  Well, this makes me worry a little bit because I wonder what they are doing.  He has a male teacher this year, which I am really happy about. I know he gives them PE quite often, which I think kids need more of!  But I also think he is really laid back.  I am glad Rayce is a smart kid and so we are just trying to keep up on his reading every night.  I can't believe how big Rayce is getting.  He is going to be taller than me soon :(  I can almost fit in his shoes.  He is such a good kid with a HUGE heart.  Dusty was out shooting BB's at the chickens the other day and it broke Rayces heart.  He loves animals and doesn't like them to get hurt.  We love Rayce and are proud of the awesome kid that he is.

GO CART RACE

 

 

A couple weeks ago at pack meeting they did goal cart racing.  Rayce took first place.  We went to the fish hatchery and raced down a hill.  Rayce had so much fun.  He really likes scouts!  The other boys just watched him until it was over.  Then they were able to play on the cars while they finished up pack meeting.
