  • What's better than pizza and pinot? Pizza, pinot and conversations about AI in recruiting with a bunch of colleagues and friends 👏 combined with rooftop hangs in the city 👏

Pizza, Pinot, and AI 🍕🍷🤖 That was the promise for NY Talent Collective last night at Sequoia's office... and it sure delivered. We had more than 30 women in recruiting in one room, wrestling with the same question many of us are quietly sitting with: where does AI actually belong in our work, and where does it need to stay out. We broke into smaller groups (thank you, Mabel Liang, founder of Talent AI Lounge for facilitating with so much care) and the conversation went deep fast. 🎤 Which tools are earning their keep. Where the human has to stay in the loop. And a topic that's suddenly urgent for all of us: how to spot and filter fraudulent candidates, since we've all watched that number climb this year. The tactics and insights were honest and useful. The room was the real story. Watching strangers become people who trust each other in about ninety minutes never gets old. 💖 New faces I can't wait to fold into this community. Familiar faces who keep showing up and making it what it is. Huge thanks to Michael Petrillo from Daialog, our honorary male of the night, for sponsoring the pizza and Pinot 🍕🍷 And to Noelle Lamparelli, thank you for hosting us and for continuing to be one of the best thought partners this community has. If you were in that room last night, thank you. If you weren't, September's already on the calendar. Come find us.

  • AI is changing what "qualified" even means, and most hiring processes haven't caught up. Every resume looks polished. Every candidate checks the boxes. And somehow, your team is spending more time screening and feeling less sure than you were two years ago. What if you could tell real skill from a good resume before the interview ever happens? 📅 Thursday, September 10 at 12:00 PM EST Join us for a live workshop with Katie Burke Fairbank, Product Marketing Lead at CodeSignal, as she walks through what it takes to move from proxy signals to proof in 2026 hiring. You'll learn how to: ✅ Know what valid skill assessment looks like in 2026, and whether your current approach is keeping up ✅ Use AI Interviewer to evaluate more candidates without losing signal quality ✅ Choose between an agentic coding assessment and a traditional one, and understand how the signal differs ✅ Keep your validation trustworthy with Suspicion Score, proctoring, and identity verification working together New to CodeSignal? No problem. We'll start from the beginning and leave plenty of time for Q&A. Join us and see what it really takes to hire on proof, not polish. • AI is changing recruiting faster than most teams can keep up. Recruiting teams are being asked to do more with less, yet many sourcing workflows still rely on manual research, endless search adjustments, and piecing together information from multiple tools. What if your sourcing process could do more of the heavy lifting? 📅 August 26 at 9:00 AM PST Join us for a live workshop with Sophia Anderson Urwin, Customer Success Manager at Juicebox and former recruiter at Lyft and Meta, as she walks through Juicebox Agent 4.0 and how leading talent teams are building an AI-native top of funnel. You'll learn how to: ✅ Turn scattered context from intake meetings, Slack, and your ATS into a clear search strategy ✅ Map the talent market before investing hours in the wrong search ✅ Build an organizational memory that helps your team recruit smarter over time Sophia works closely with talent teams at companies like Notion, Lovable, Baseten, and Nubank, helping them integrate AI Agents into their recruiting workflows. She'll share real-world examples, a live demo of Agent 4.0, and practical ways recruiters are rethinking sourcing with AI. New to Juicebox? No problem. We'll start from the beginning and leave plenty of time for Q&A. Join us and see what's possible when AI becomes part of your recruiting team.
