Powered By People – Pedro Amaral Since joining our Chapada operation in Brazil as an exploration geologist in 2020, Pedro Amaral has embraced opportunities to learn, grow, and take on new challenges. Today, he is doing just that at our Caserones operation in Chile, where he is on a technical exchange gaining new perspectives and building connections. At Chapada, Pedro plans drilling, geochemistry, and geophysics campaigns, turning that data into the geological models that guide exploration. One achievement stands out for him: helping advance the Saúva deposit, from the first geological interpretations through to resource definition. When the opportunity to do a technical exchange came up, he didn't hesitate. "I was excited to learn that I had been selected for the exchange, and I also felt a strong sense of responsibility. To me, it was recognition of the work I'd been doing, and a unique chance to learn from others and broaden my experience." The experience has brought plenty of new challenges. Between the altitude, winter conditions, and the nuances of Chilean Spanish, the learning has extended well beyond geology. "They use a lot of expressions that are unique to Chile. But that’s part of the experience, and it’s been a fun way to learn more about the Spanish language and Chilean culture.” What Pedro learns in Chile won't stay there. The knowledge, perspectives and relationships he's building will travel back to Brazil, strengthening how our teams learn from one another across the business. At Lundin Mining, our growth is powered by people willing to go further, think differently, and shape what comes next.

Today, we reported our second quarter 2026 financial results. Continued consistent operational performance, supported by elevated metal prices, drove strong cash flow generation during the quarter, enabling us to end the period with a net cash position of $79.0 million after completing the $215 million acquisition of an additional 5% interest in Caserones and a 30.9% interest in Los Helados. We also continued to execute on our growth strategy with the approval of the additional ball mill as part of the Saúva project at our Chapada operation in Brazil and the approval by the Argentinian government of the Incentive Regime for Large Investments ("RIGI") for the Vicuña Project. Last week's severe winter storm in Chile brought heavy rainfall and snowfall to the Atacama Region, affecting communities and infrastructure across the area, including at our Candelaria and Caserones operations. The safety of our workforce is of utmost importance, and we're grateful for the dedication of our teams working around the clock to support our response, backed by strong planning, preparedness and coordination across our sites. Following a brief interruption to mining operations at Candelaria, operations have since resumed to full capacity, while crews continue working to restore power at Caserones, with a gradual restart expected over the coming weeks. Beyond our own footprint, Lundin Mining has been supporting nearby communities affected by the storm — clearing roads so residents can reach their homes and reconnect with essential services, helping restore power to local schools and health centres, and providing supplies and transport for those hit hardest — alongside the tireless work of local and national authorities, emergency services and community organizations.

A strong safety culture doesn't happen from behind a desk. It’s driven by visible felt leadership. Our leaders work alongside their teams at mine sites, ask questions, and listen. That presence transforms safety from a checkbox into a genuine conversation, and when people feel seen and heard, they're empowered to make sound decisions.
