Button Floozies

I love it when I find buttons like these, that have been carefully carded by a button lover!  bejeweled  summery  sparkly  shining  diminutive  green glass  black glass  red glass (plus a bit of plastic on the left...) dyed shell

I pulled these metal buttons from a glass olive jar of many buttons.  They were purchased in an antique mall in PA.  These really stood out.  Check them out... Do you have any information on these?

I purchased this collection of BUTTONS at the local Volunteers of America Thrift Store for $2.99! All the buttons were threaded together, worn and weathered...They are PERFECT this way! They remind me of WHAT'S IN! WHAT'S OLD IS NEW AGAIN! Thanks for looking, Button Floozies!

I made a visit to the local Salvation Army Thrift Store to look for things for my ART CLASSES. I came across a large bag of BUTTONS ON CARDS! What a find! This is only half of this bag of buttons. Most are plastic, and there are some that have metal accents. I chose buttons from my collection that would complement an Abstract Painting used as a background. The art is by me, Sue Marrazzo, artist, and button collector. I really wanted to show-off the buttons and make them the "STAR." In shooting photos for this post...I realized how each button is like ART. Someday I want to have one of these to use for button storage: Antique dental cabinet Until the time that I (a) find one and (b) can afford it, I will have to make do with this: It's a jewelry cabinet I bought at an antique store last month; it's vintage, certainly not antique.  I can't wait to change out the hardware, which I think is horribly ugly! I have just finished filling it with some of my favorite buttons -- the ones I'd like to keep, vs. the supply I keep in jars to use in my crafts.  Here's part of it: In the top section, I keep the faux jewel and paste plastic buttons in an old watch box; in the compartment on the right, my most bling-y buttons, and then some that aren't so blingy but are still my favorites. This divided box holds my glass buttons; besides these, I have a couple of large "trays" full of different colored and black glass buttons that I mounted for display.
