More Cards For Men

So I have sort of been on a "cards for men" kick as of late.  Mostly because when ever someone comes up to me at work and says "my boyfriend/husband has (fill in the blank) coming up, I need a card for him" I never have anything for men to show them...LOL  So, With two images I just won from QKR Stamps and with a punch and a die I recently got, I made more this weekend.

For these two I used my new punch I got Saturday at Hobby Lobby for only $5, regularly way more than that.  The die on the one I got off of Wish.com, it is the perfect size for this!  Ialso used a fun shaped die and sentiment dies.  I added a bow to both.

This next one was made using an adorable image from QKR called Fawn.  For this one I used the same scenic die as above, circle dies and some fun DPs.  I added a hemp twine bow.

This last one was made using another image from QKR called  Eagle.  I added some of the same DP as the first cards, I used an embossing folder on the burgundy cardstock, and I accented it all with black.  I used a white base.

Peeps Easter Card

Tonight I was looking at Pintrest and saw one of the votive candle holder card and it made me think of these adorable little chicks I got at Hobby Lobby last night.  Instead of using the votives I cut a TP roll to fit, painted them green on the inside and glued the little chicks in.  I didn't do much else for decorating other than adding a bow and a vintage Easter image.

Get Well Soon

I received a text Saturday letting me know one of my co-workers broke her leg and won't be in for an indeterminate time frame.  She is one of my favorite people, so I had to make her a special "get well" card.  I used the sketch from 'Stella Says Sketch', and used an image from Bugaboo called Break A Leg.  I used some papers from Stitchy Bear...they aren't around anymore.  I added some black gems, a flower and a fire truck (it was a button, but I cut off the back).

After doing 4 guy cards I needed some froufrou!  So, I made this fun 4x4" criss cross card.  I added tons of flowers and a unicorn die.  I also added a tag behind the flowers I stuck inside the opening.  There some pearls, silver bow an dsome cheese cloth.

For A Man

As my co-workers and friends look through my card supply (I have a lot of cards I've made that are just laying in a box at work), one think I get asked a lot is "do you have anything for a man?"...I tend to do flowers and lace a lot!!  So last night I decided to make some cards for guys.  I think they could work for women too, but really, my intentions were that they would be for guys.  LOL

My first one is one I made using my deer die cut, birthday sentiment die cut, oval and scalloped oval die cuts, some DPs, pearls and twine.  I love how this turned out, you can't really tell from this picture, but there is a pop dot holding the deer to the cream oval, so it looks like it is mounted.

This second card was made using an image from QKR Stampede called 'elephant'.  This one is almost too soft for a guy, looking at it the next day...LOL  But, it would work too.  I used some oval and scalloped oval dies, sentiment die, pearls and a knotted ribbon.

This one was made using a sentiment and an image from a digi set at Create With TLC, but I do not see it in her shop.  I used square and a scalloped square dies, an embossing folder, a bow and a mustache from Knick Knacks/The Paper Shelter.

This last card I made last night I made just for the humor of it.  I scanned a stamped image from a Skipping Stones Designs set, scanned the stamped image, made it bigger for my project, colored it with chalk and then added the sentiment myself using my computer.  I have a few female friends I could see giving this to their guys or even some of their other female friends.

Waterfall Cards

Over at Crafting With Dragonflies the challenge theme is "Special Folds".  I decided to do a couple Waterfall cards using some fun stamp sets from Bugaboo Stamps and sentiment from Create With TLC.  If you want to know how to do these fun waterfall cards check out this video, it makes it sooo easy!

For the first one I kept it fairly CAS using the Bear Block Trio, some blues, greens and reds. I used some gems, a hemp twin bow, some blue ribbon and some staples.

The second card was also kept fairly simple.  I used the Mini Set Cat Blocks, lots of blag gems and two animal print gems.

A couple fun ones

I have a co-worker who is changing jobs soon, so I made this first card for her.  She has a pet hedgehog, so I thought this adorable image from Createful Hearts would work for her.  :)   She also has a ministry the she started when she was in high school and still runs today called Cover Idaho International that is a ministry that distributes blankets, as well as other supplies across the world.  So, I added the little patchwork paper.  I added some flowers and a bow.  The sketch was followed from Sketch Saturday, the sketch looks like this:

This second card I made JUST BECAUSE, with no one person in mind.  I actually only had the sentiment from Create With TLC in mind and found this image from Deary Dolls called Hippie Chick.  I added some fun 2 sided DP, the orange and the floral paper, a bow, an earring and a flower.  I followed the same sketch as above.

This fun image is from QKR, he is called Frog and Dragonfly.  The perfect image for someone who loves frogs and...well...dragonflies!  LOL  For this card for some reason I went all round, circles galore!  I started with a pre-made scallop circle card base from i-craft Studio G (comes in a pack of 8 w/envelopes).  I then added some cheese cloth, die cut circles, cut the image out using a circle die, used a dragonfly die, added flowers and heart gems, some leaf dies, some twine and a sentiment from Create With TLC that was cut out using a banner/flag die.
