I already had it on Evercade, but it's nice to be able to play it on my other handheld devices, too. Thanks!

Got this running on my Gamestation Go, just had to figure out the SDL button mapping

Congrats on getting this to Evercade! I'll be buying the cart, but I went ahead and bought the game here, too

This made me think that it would be an interesting idea for a Playdate console game. The crank would be an interesting mechanic for changing gravity, although it would totally be different from the other versions of Rota because of it

I didn't even realize I had it on itch (got it in a bundle) and bought it on Steam, can't wait for the full release here, too!

Funny because the reason I bought Astebros on Steam was so I could copy the ROM to all my devices. It's a shame that it is assumed that hiding the ROM will actually stop people that want to pirate the game. They're the most persistent in finding ways to crack games, this only hurts actual fans of your games.

Seems like there are added levels in the Evercade version? Enjoying the game a lot (this version and the Evercade one)

Congrats on this coming to Evercade, guess I'll be getting it again once the cart releases 😀

Hi, I just bought this and there wasn't a Steam key provided, are they all out?

I like the idea, but the screen is already so cluttered I couldn't see the cursor or what I might have been drawing

Got a crash in the third level, was trying to leave the eye at the start of the level, didn't quite leave yet and the game crashed

Blast from the past!

My 10yo  is enjoying the demo on Steam, looking forward to the full game!

Is this a game for the Playdate handheld console? If not, please remove the Playdate tag, it is for Playdate games

Your reply made perfect sense! Thank you so much. I guess other limitations depend on other APIs or devices that support OCS, but yes, the potential is very large

I've never heard of OSC, it sounds interesting, what do you imagine would be interesting/useful applications of this with the playdate?

The Playdate tag is for Playdate console compatible games, is this game coming to the Playdate? If not, you should remove the tag to reduce confusion

tysm!

Just saw it, thanks!

I don't know if you can disclose if there is one coming, but I'm sad we didn't get a podcast episode about this game yet! I'd love to hear more about the history of this project

So awesome that you got to do this, looking forward to playing it this weekend, I haven't played it since the NES days

Not sure if I'm applying the modifier wrong or if it's broken (or I just misread it), but the don't get fried modifier doesn't seem to be doing anything.

I haven't tried any other modifiers yet because the pace is too frantic to be very precise and quick at the same time, I rarely make past the first round.

Plus, I'm not sure what to do in the cheese refill minigame? It refills itself eventually, the spot where it looks appropriate to drop the cheese happens too quickly at the beginning to react.

UPDATE - I got it working, the problem was the zip file contained the file structure Oquonie/Oquonie.pdx/<all the subfolders & files>, but the playdate website expects the Oquonie.pdx to be the root folder inside that zip file (i.e, just Oquonie.pdx/<all the subfolders & files>). Once I zipped up the Oquonie.pdx folder by itself the upload worked no problem

I had this problem on my Google Pixel phone as well (uploading the original download to the PD website I mean), I'll try on my computer later today

Try updating your system OS is again, they just released 2.7.2, I was able todownload the game after updating to that

The internal version number for the 1.4.0 download is still 1.3.9 btw, at least that's how the playdate sideload page sees it

That worked, thanks!

I tried to upload the updated game to the playdate sideload webpage and I get the error "Invalid filename (does it contain a forward slash?)". It doesn't happen with the new LTS if that helps

Not a fan of the timed sections where you also have to switch the platforms with the crank, but otherwise I love the vibe of the game. Looking forward to more from you!

I was just about to post this, so exciting!

Got this in the CA fire relief bundle, I'm trying to sideload this via the playdate website but I keep getting the error message "The bundleID field is missing from pdxinfo". Any ideas?

"This game is currently unavailable" 😭

Great feel for the playdate, thanks for uploading it!

Cool, thanks!

Small UI suggestion, maybe there could be up & down arrows in the opening menu indicating that's how to scroll through the different game modes? My kid was playing and didn't know how to switch between them. Otherwise a great game!

Fun game, but I guess I'm too ham fisted, some of the meandering satellites in stage 2 are too hard for me! 😭

I assume this update will show up on the playdate store as well?
