Calvin & Hobbes and Watchmen

 

Well, Calvin certainly has the imagination required for such an undertaking.  It would be fun to find out what kind of world he builds.

Would these two be allies or find themselves at odds?  I'm not sure, but it would be a lot of fun to watch them interact - especially if it gaveus the chance to see a Genndy Tartakovsky-animated Batman!

Don't consider it a retcon, maybe we were only part of the story.  This tale just fills in all of the missing parts - at least in Calvin's imagination...

Stupendous Man Vs. Superman

 

Superman has had plenty of experience dealing with ultra powerful imps with the likes of Mr. Mxyzptlk in his rogues gallery.  Would that be enough to prepare him for a Calvin hopped up on sugar?  It would be fun to find out!

Fighting American and Samurai Jack

 

Samurai Jack was a show that I would catch from time to time, and I always got a kick out of the episodes.  I watched them randomly and not in order, but it was pretty easy to follow the plot.  Now that I have HBO Max, I have finally started going through the series from the beginning.  It's even more fun than I remember.

Calvin & Hobbes join The Green Lantern Corps

I really hope that some forward momentum is happening behind the scenes with a Green Lantern Corps movie.  It seems like ages since we have heard anything about it.  I'm guessing that we will have to wait until the release of Wonder Woman 1984 before Warner Bros starts to clarify the future of the DCEU, and where characters like Flash, Superman and the GLC are going.  We haven't even had confirmation that Matt Reeve's Batman movie will be connected to WW1984 or the still years off Aquaman sequel.  Will JJ Abrams be their answer to Marvel's Kevin Feige?

Supergirl and The Powerpuff Girls

I am cautiously optimistic about the upcoming Supergirl TV series.  I hope that it looks to the success of The Flash, and puts an emphasis on the superheroics, rather than too much teenage melodrama.  The Costume looks good (needs yellow in the S shield, though) and I love that Linda Danvers adopted parents will be played by Dean Cain and Helen Slater.  I have to admit that what really has me intrigued is the promise of Red Tornado showing up on the first season!

Tiny Titans and Peanuts

A teaser trailer for then upcoming Peanuts animated feature has been released, and I have to say that I like what I see.  It appears to be a combination of traditional animation and CGI, and it looks to have the feel and spirit of the characters just right.  I hope the whole movie is as enjoyable as what has been shown thus far.  Snoopy, Come Home is still a favorite of mine and it would be nice to have another movie to bring Charles Schulz' beloved characters to a new generation of fans.

The Thing and Tiny Titans

Or the Teeny Tiny Titans, to be exact!  Tiny Titans is one of the hidden Gems of DC's current output.  I liked the promotional materials, so I picked up the first issue on a whim.  I was instantly hooked.  It's one of the few comics that can always be counted on to make me laugh out loud with each issue.  The character designs and humor are perfect for kids and the DCU in-jokes are plentiful, which give long time fans a lot to enjoy as well.  I'm not sure which of any of DC's kid's line will survive post reboot, but I hope this title doesn't go anywhere.  It's the best superhero themed children's comic I have ever seen and it would be a shame for it to go away.
