Features

Everything a day of work needs, in one window that stays out of your way.

Built for people who juggle dozens of repositories and multiple IDEs.

01

All your repositories in one place.

Everything you have checked out, sorted into groups. Easily search repositories, or check your issues and pull requests across all of them at once.

02

Integrations for days.

Connect accounts per profile, in the cloud or on your own servers, and add as many self-hosted instances as you run. Tokens and app passwords stay in the system credential store, never in a settings file.

  • GitHub Enterprise
  • GitLab
  • Self-hosted GitLab
  • Bitbucket
  • Bitbucket Data Center
  • Azure DevOps

03

Pull requests without the browser tab.

Pick the branches and see the commit count, changed files and any conflicts before you write a word. Add a title and a Markdown description, open it as a draft or finish it on the web. Open pull requests and issues sit in the sidebar, next to your branches.

04

Multiple profiles to keep your sanity.

A profile bundles the identity your commits are made with, the repositories that belong to it and its own connected accounts. Switch profile and your open tabs switch with it, so work never leaks into personal.

05

Every repository opens in the right IDE.

Pick a default editor for each profile, then assign a different IDE or a custom command to any repository. Open a project straight into it from BranchBay or the tray.

06

Every project, one shortcut away.

A global shortcut opens the tray - search your repositories, filter by group and open in either the IDE, BranchBay or the terminal.

07

Every shortcut is yours to change.

More than sixty actions, each one remappable. Search by action or by the keys themselves, spot clashes, and import or export your set to take it to your next machine.

08

Type it instead of hunting for it.

Press Cmd+P and start typing. Committing, staging, creating a pull request, checking out or deleting a branch: every command is a few keystrokes away, grouped by what it touches.

09

A terminal that starts where you are.

Open a terminal docked below the graph, already in the repository you are looking at. It runs your own shell with your own prompt, and you can add as many tabs as you need.

Frequently Asked Questions

Anything else? Email us at contact@branchbay.dev or join our community on Discord.

What happens when the 14 days end?
BranchBay shows a licence page in place of your repositories and asks for a key. Nothing is deleted: your tabs, groups, profiles and settings stay put, and entering a key picks up exactly where you left off.
Is it really a one-time payment?
Yes. $20 buys a licence for 2 computers with no renewal. Updates are delivered inside the app. Use discount code BBLAUNCH25 for a 25% discount .
Can my two computers run different operating systems?
Yes. One key activates any two machines across macOS, Windows and Linux, in any mix.
I replaced a computer. How do I move my licence?
Deactivate the old machine from inside the app, or clear every activation on your key yourself on the licence reset page. Then activate the new machine as usual.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Your repositories never need a connection.
Is BranchBay a GitKraken or Git Tower alternative?
Yes. BranchBay is a native Git GUI for macOS, Windows and Linux with no account and no subscription. See how it compares with GitKraken, Git Tower, Fork, Sourcetree, GitHub Desktop, Sublime Merge and SmartGit .
