An Ohio police officer went above and beyond his job description when he offered to drive a grieving man that he pulled over more than 100 miles to his sister’s funeral.
When Mark Ross heard the news that his 15-year-old sister was killed in a car accident, he wanted to find a way to be with his family as fast as he could.

Ross did not have a vehicle, so he asked a friend to drive him from Indiana to Detroit, Michigan, WJW reported.

Ross wrote in a Facebook post that police pulled them over as they were speeding through Ohio to get to Detroit.

“I knew I was going to jail due to a petty warrant,” Ross wrote in the post.

Ross was in the passenger seat when Trooper J. Davis pulled them over and arrested the driver for driving with a suspended license and on an outstanding warrant, Inside Edition reported.

The officer took the driver into custody and towed the vehicle, leaving Ross stranded in Ohio.

When Ohio State Highway Patrol Sergeant David Robison arrived, he offered to drive Ross more than 100 miles to his destination in Detroit.

“I broke down crying and he saw the sincerity in my cry. He REACHES OVER AND BEGAN PRAYING OVER ME AND MY FAMILY,” Ross wrote. “He offered to bring me 100 miles further to Detroit because they towed the vehicle. Everybody knows how much I dislike Cops but I am truly Greatful for this Guy. He gave me hope.”

Robison kept his word and drove Ross to a coffee shop in Detroit where he could meet his cousin.

“It was just so overwhelming,” Ross told Inside Edition. “They were trying to help us.”

Ross and his family were grateful for Robison’s generosity and invited him to the funeral.

“He’s actually going to attend the funeral,” Ross said.

Ross’s Facebook post has gone viral; it has been shared more than 100,000 times since Sunday.

The set-up for black violence in America is Democrat-run urban enclaves that have doubled-down on policies that ensure (a) fatherless families; (b) no work (e.g., high minimum wage laws); (c) absentee police; and (d) the inability of law-abiding citizens to defend themselves. (Regarding that last point, statistical data shows that the single best way to reduce crime is to allow law-abiding citizens to have guns. It turns out that predators prefer hunting prey when that prey cannot protect itself. Predators are mean, but they’re neither stupid nor suicidal.)

Democrat leadership (both white and black) has recently embarked upon a movement that has worsened the crime levels black communities face. I speak, of course, of the Black Lives Matter (“BLM”) movement. Despite compelling data showing that police, given similar circumstances, are less likely, not more likely to shoot blacks than they are to shoot whites, and that police are at greater risk from black men than black men are at risk from police, BLM has used hysterical lies to as a way to infest America’s most troubled inner cities.

...A sure way to destroy low-income jobs is to have unlimited immigration, drastically increasing pressure at the low end of the economic scale. This pressure is made worse by illegal aliens, who take payments under the table that are far below what employers can legally pay legal employees. Blacks are hurt most by the pressure of unlimited legal and illegal immigration, yet the Democrat party aggressively supports importing a new generation of slaves into America, just as, in the 19th century, it supported the old, black generation of slaves. Even as blacks unthinkingly give their complete allegiance to the Democrat party, that same party is already lining up their replacements.

...Police, more than any other group in America, are responsible for making sure that black lives really do matter because they guard the most dangerous neighborhoods, keeping predators away from law-abiding citizens and helpless children. Yet the Democrats, both black and white, have thrown all their weight behind the Black Lives Movement, without regard to the fact that the movement has resulted in spiraling crime in black communities.

A community that aborts more children than it allows to live is a death cult and a dying community. Yet the Democrats, both black and white, even as they endlessly mouth the piety that “black lives matter,” also work hard to ensure that abortion without limitation (or even protection for the woman having the procedure) continues to be available, especially in black communities.

How the Democrat Party treats blacks

This seems like an appropriate place to address something I’ve long felt about the way in which Democrats treat blacks. They encourage them in vice, not just to keep them stuck on welfare and voting Democrat. They also do it to maintain their own sense of superiority, which is the educated Leftist’s underlying justification for refusing to demand that blacks live up to the same standards of behavior as these educated, elitist Leftists do themselves.

This thought, which has been floating in my brain for awhile, crystallized when Wolf Howling reminded me of something that Martin Luther King said: “Do you know that Negroes are 10 percent of the population of St. Louis and are responsible for 58% of its crimes? We’ve got to face that.” What he was telling his audience, of course, was that they had to be self-reliant and pull themselves up by their own bootstraps, because the whites were not going to help them.

What occurred to me was that whites of the time liked this crime rate, even if they complained about it. That is, they weren’t only discriminating against blacks because they felt blacks to be inferior. Instead, they were encouraging criminal behavior because it proved their thesis that blacks were indeed inferior.

Democrats haven’t changed a single bit since then. You poor African Americans, they say. What would you do without us, they ask. The only thing keeping you from complete breakdown is our policies — the very same policies that encourage the breakdown of the family, the marginalization of black fathers, and the dearth of policing. America’s Leftist elites don’t just need blacks on the welfare plantation to buy black votes; they need blacks on that plantation to reinforce the whites’ own sense of superiority.

The media is desperately afraid that Donald Trump’s speeches to black Americans are letting the cat out of the bag. Because they cannot dare address the substance of his speeches, they’re castigating them as utterly meaningless because he gave them in white enclaves, rather than a black community — as if a black community, brainwashed by the Left, would give Trump the opportunity to speak. By getting the message out however he could, though, Trump put on the airways something blacks need to hear.

And what they need to hear is that conservatives respect blacks and believe that they are capable of every damn thing conservatives live in their own lives: getting educated, holding jobs, having stable marriages with children raised by both a mom and a dad, and being law abiding. It’s only the Left that assures blacks this is impossible, and then creates the political and economic circumstances that make this assurance seem like the truth.

First you get rid of the gold standard. Then you rename my mountain. And now blacks are voting for the party that kept them in chains?

For example, why would you stick with Michael Brown as your Exhibit A of the viciousness of the white race when, by August 18th, the public had both the autopsy report and the convenience store video demonstrating that Brown wasn’t the “gentle giant” of inane journalistic cliché, but instead was a one-man crime wave?

The coordinated tag-team efforts of the Obama Administration and the media to encourage blacks to riot for more political power and feminists to frame innocent men for rape has led straight white men increasingly to defend themselves … in the comments.

Government discrimination against citizens because of race

Democrats, it’s past time that you stopped trying to use government to discriminate against citizens on the basis of race. Yes, you’ve moved from discriminating against blacks to discriminating against Asians, and I understand that you’re very proud of that. But you shouldn’t be. Just stop already.
