There are far worse things about Kamala Devi Harris than her fake smile and fake explanations to a partisan hack and alleged comedian.

How many times has this woman opened up on television about her Brahmin mother who is the single biggest reason for her successful life in the States today? Every one knows her fathers name Harris..but how many people know about her mother Shyamala Gopalan ?

Her mother was a true trail blazer.She was one of the earliest Indians who came to America on a student visa in 1957. This was a full 8 years before the US opened up legally in 1965 via the Immigration and Naturalization Act to non Caucasian immigration of any kind.Upto that point there seems to have been a quota system for legal immigration which generally preferred European or Canadian immigration.

An unmarried Brahmin woman relocating from India to a country as foreign as the United States more than 6 decades ago was unheard of.It simply never happened. But Shyamala Gopalan was made of sterner stuff and graduated with a Phd in nutrition and endocrinology from Berkley in 1965.She later on went into breast cancer reasearch and worked at Urbana Champaign and at the University of Wisconsin. I am pretty sure that liberal students in your campus would go nuts if they knew about this connection.

Donald Harris divorced Shyamala Gopalan in 1971.Her mother basically raised Kamala and her sister Maya as a single parent from the time they were in elementary school.She is the very epitome of what liberal feminists hail as the true heroines of America..the successful career woman/single parent who raised a family all by herself..an immigrant and breast cancer researcher who was an advisor to the NIH..

And yet...people barely know who she is.Even though Kamala has been in the political spotlight for more than a decade now.. Even today Harris is the name she goes by. Shyamala Gopalan is virtually unknown.

When she self identfies as a black woman, she cannot talk about her Brahmin mother..or deal with the fact that her mother came from a politically well connected family from India..Her grandfather PV Gopalan worked for the Indian Govt in the 60s.He was posted in Zambia by the Government which tried to engage Africa seriously as a leader of the Non Aligned Movement

Her mother was truly privileged to be able to pursue academic goals in the United States 6 decades ago, when 90% of the rest of India could barely afford three meals a day or a train ticket let alone airfare to the richest country halfway across the world

Given this background, Her sob story about being an underprivileged child that was bused to school to combat evil white racists..crashes and burns.

Kamala Harris is a clone of her mother when it comes to ambition and the drive to make it big in life.Unfortunately she greatly differs from her mother in actually being useful to humanity. Heres hoping that she doesn't cause any further harm to anyone than what she's already done.

Full disclosure: I lived in the US for 10 years and am now back home in India. Iam about 8 kms from where her Chitthi (Tamil for maternal aunt) lives in Chennai ..the hometown of Shyamala Gopalan.

came into the race with the highest expectations on her, and the biggest entry into the race with 22,000 people at her rally in Oakland at the end of January - but had struggled with internal fighting and money that had almost completely dried up recently.

Between Harris and O'Rourke, the candidates who entered with the most fanfare around them, in the end became two of the earliest to quit

She was down to just 2% in the latest Hill poll, and was unlikely to qualify for the next debate.

One thing is clear. At least for the foreseeable future, no Democrat candidate will benefit from any connection to promoting law and order or providing safety and security for Americans. The Democrats are all in on lawlessness. Harris is collateral damage pointing to this broader Democrat pathology. Did she sleep through her legal ethics courses?

In USA Today Glenn Reynolds wrote about a California prosecutor who lied and falsified evidence. Kamala Harris was then the California Attorney General. Incredibly, she decided to appeal the case (she lost).

Harris's key argument: That putting a fake confession in the transcript wasn't "outrageous" because it didn't involve physical brutality, like chaining someone to a radiator and beating him with a hose.

Well, no. It just involved an officer of the court knowingly producing a fraudulent document in order to secure an illicit advantage. If Harris really thinks that knowingly producing a fraudulent document to secure an illicit advantage isn't "outrageous," then perhaps she slept through her legal ethics courses.

Charles Fain Lehman and Brent Scher report in the Free Beacon about Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris's conflicting positions on marijuana legalization. When she was California's Attorney General, she caused hundreds of California to be sent to either county jails or state prisons for marijuana usage. Yet, she now says she supports marijuana legalization. She even admits she used marijuana in college.

Many are also questioning whether she was being honest about the timeframe of her drug use. When she was asked what kind of music she listened to during her smoking days in college, she named two artists—Tupac and Snoop Dog—who weren't making music until long after she graduated.

"Either Harris was baked enough to time travel or she hit the bong after being in school," wrote Nick Gillespie for Reason, a libertarian magazine that supports marijuana legalization. "Not cool for a candidate whose slogan is ‘speaking truth, demanding justice.'"

And this is before the public knows anything about Kamala Harris other than that she's a Democrat. They don't know she's on board for a socialist takeover of the country, or for throwing parents in jail if their kids skip school, or for open borders, or for infanticide.

She's a Generic Democrat, in the public's mind, which is the strongest possible Democrat.

They also don't know that most of her earlier public career was spent dickriding Willie Brown into jobs.

The ads are slight variations on the same message, urging voters to sign a petition opposing Judge Kavanaugh. Most ads highlight what she says is his opposition to Roe v. Wade and loyalty to President Trump. Ms. Harris’s petition links to a fundraising page suggesting contributions of $15 or more to her campaign. She isn’t up for re-election this year.

...When liberals like Kamala Harris refer to “the Constitution,” they don’t mean the actual written document–“that book that you carry”–they mean an unrestricted charter that gives liberals the right to rule over the rest of us, via the judiciary. Which, of course, nullifies the whole point of having a written Constitution.

How much of this Kamala Harris understands I don’t know, but the childish leftism that she embodies, along with many others of her party, is one of the greatest threats to our democracy.
