Blog Herald is an independent publication covering blogging and digital publishing. Our editorial standards are designed to ensure clarity, accuracy, and long-term usefulness for readers. This policy explains how content is created, reviewed, and maintained on Blog Herald.

Editorial independence

Editorial decisions at Blog Herald are made independently. Advertising, sponsorships, and partnerships do not determine what we publish or how topics are covered. Sponsored content is clearly labeled and separated from editorial reporting.

What we publish

We focus on blogging as a publishing medium. Coverage includes:

  • Blogging news and industry developments
  • Blog platforms, tools, and publishing technology
  • Search visibility, SEO, and traffic discovery
  • Content strategy and digital publishing practices
  • Commentary and analysis related to online publishing

We do not publish general lifestyle, personal development, or unrelated entertainment content.

Our editorial process

Every article published on Blog Herald goes through a structured editorial pipeline:

  • Source research — We trace stories back to primary sources: official platform announcements, documentation, company statements, peer-reviewed research, and reporting from established wire services.
  • Writing — Articles are written to inform readers with real context, not surface-level takes. We prioritize clarity and practical usefulness over volume.
  • Checking — Important factual claims are checked against source material and the sources that matter are linked. Statistics are traced to their origin. Claims that cannot be supported are softened or removed. We say that we interviewed or contacted someone only when we did.
  • Editorial review — All content is reviewed by a human editor before publication.

Sources and accuracy

We aim to publish accurate, verifiable information. When possible, we rely on primary sources, official announcements, documentation, and direct statements from platforms or companies. If information is updated or corrected after publication, articles may be revised to reflect the most accurate version available.

Corrections

We correct errors. Material corrections and substantial revisions carry a dated note at the bottom of the affected article; minor fixes that do not change what readers were told may be made without one. An article whose central premise cannot stand is withdrawn, and where appropriate a notice remains at its address. Readers can report errors to corrections@brownbrothers.io. Use of AI tools

AI tools are a substantial part of how Blog Herald is produced. They help find and organise sources, draft, edit, check facts and links, and audit published work, and they may produce much of an initial draft. Using these tools does not reduce our responsibility for what we publish.

Every article is reviewed and approved by a member of our team before it goes live. Where a named editor appears on an article, that is the person who performed the final review.

Editorial responsibility for accuracy rests with Blog Herald.

We do not use AI to fabricate quotes, invent sources, or present AI-generated content as first-hand reporting from real individuals.

Sponsored and affiliate content

  • Sponsored content is clearly labeled
  • Affiliate links, and recommendations of products or services connected to Brown Brothers Media, its founders, staff or their families, are disclosed in the article, near the recommendation
  • Affiliate relationships do not influence editorial opinions
  • We do not sell dofollow links or undisclosed paid placements

Contributors and authorship

Blog Herald publishes under named editors and contributors. A named byline identifies a real person who has approved publication under their name and any personal material attributed to them. We do not present fabricated personas or attach false professional credentials to bylines. The Blog Herald editorial byline is collective and does not claim personal experiences, interviews or credentials. Editorial responsibility for accuracy rests with Blog Herald. Content published under the Blog Herald editorial byline is reviewed and approved by our named editors — see our Editorial Staff page.

Updates and archival content

Blog Herald has been publishing since 2003. Some older articles may reflect tools, platforms, or practices that are no longer current. Where appropriate, legacy content may be updated, revised, archived, or removed to maintain relevance and quality.
