About Faizah:

Faizah Malik is one of LA’s leading public interest lawyers and housing advocates. For over 15 years, she’s fought to keep thousands of Angelenos in their homes, created new affordable housing, and championed policies that bring stability and opportunity to working families.

Faizah’s roots in LA and the Westside run deep. The eldest daughter of South Asian Muslim immigrants, her family came to LA over 50 years ago, building small businesses and community institutions that shaped their neighborhood.

As managing attorney at Public Counsel Faizah has taken on the powerful and won: defending eviction protections against landlord lobby attacks, suing the state to stop the denial of rent relief, leading the campaign for the strongest tenant protections in 40 years, advocating for the Venice Dell Community affordable housing project, and helping return Bruce’s Beach to its rightful owners in a historic victory for racial justice.

This is a community-powered, clean money campaign - Faizah does not take  money from lobbyists, corporations, or the fossil fuels industry. This is why your support is critical in this election!
