We are enrolling for 2026-2027!Petersburg City Public Schools offers Preschool at Westview Early Childhood Education Center.
Families may apply if they have children who will be 3 years old or 4 years by September 30, 2026.
Parents must have all of the following items to be accepted into the program:
Eligible families will be placed on the waitlist until all required documents are received as well as the following:
Head Start also requires children’s health insurance cards and child’s dental exam within the past six months.
You can follow the link to apply. The application takes about 20 minutes to complete. There are a limited number of spots, so applying does not guarantee acceptance.
Students who are not initially accepted are placed on a waiting list, in case a spot opens during the school year. 10 percent of enrollment is for children with disabilities.
Petersburg City Public Schools offers transportation to all enrolled students. However, an adult must be at the bus stop each day to receive child to avoid loss of transportation.
Westview is a NO OUTSIDE food school. Please notify the office if you need paper work for special diets.
Parents must attend an orientation in August before their children can start pre-kindergarten.
