Shixing Yu
I am a 3rd Ph.D. student @ the ECE department, Cornell University.
My research focuses on building interpretable and efficient learning systems for large language and multimodal models.
I am particularly interested in understanding how internal representations, latent features, and training data jointly shape model behavior, using tools such as influence functions, sparse autoencoders, and representation analysis.
More broadly, I aim to develop scalable interpretability methods that connect theoretical insights with practical deployment, with applications in trustworthy AI and high-stakes domains such as healthcare.
Previously, I finished my undergraduate study @ EECS deparment, Peking University, in 2021.
