Bike to Work Day is a wrap! Thank you to all the riders, station organizers and employers who made the event a success. Together, participants, reduced the number of cars on the road to improve traffic congestion and improve air quality. Together, participants proved that Colorado's 300 days of sunshine make commuting year-round a breeze!

At the 2026 event, tens of thousands of cyclists visited over 200 stations throughout the Front Range and Western Slope, to enjoy coffee, breakfast, giveaways and friendly conversation. Riders who pledged on the website were also entered to win cash prizes.

Even though Bike to Work Day is over, you can still have fun and earn rewards for commuting sustainability year-round! Sign up for an account on My Way to Go and track your non-solo driving trips to be entered into monthly prize drawings.

What is Bike to Work Day?

Bike to Work Day is a free, fun annual event hosted by the Denver Regional Council of Governments. Each year, the event takes place on the fourth Wednesday in June, with tens of thousands of residents and businesses in the nine-county region participating in the celebration.

The Way to Go team would like to express our gratitude to all the participants and station organizers who helped make Bike to Work Day a success this year and every year! Whether you commute to the office by bike or ride for recreation, choosing to leave your car at home has a positive impact on our community. Imagine the difference it would make if everyone committed to swapping out at least one car trip each week!
