I enjoyed this story because I really liked the characters. I liked Richard and how he wants to save the town where he grew up. I liked his father and Brenda and Itchy and Marat. I loved this cozy mystery with some laughs, a murder and some romance. I love Arlo and her bookstore. I really enjoy the older ladies that help her get involved in murders. I loved the fast pace of the story. I could not put this book down.

I loved how fast paced this historical fiction story is. I could not put the book down. I loved Rebecca in 1874 and Shea in present days. I loved how the past and present are intertwined. I love the suspense and the intrigue at the lighthouse.
