To Wake From a Very Deep Sleep
Jul. 6th, 2019 08:55 pmWhen it's time to fall into that great and all-encompassing unconsciousness, we go to bed.

So when we open our eyes on the grid once more, we're there. Sometimes we'll camp out on a couch at some exotic sim, but most of the time we go home and to the bed on the second floor.
We'd slept a long time. The Me has let other things trample over the time of our designated Sunday afternoon. But a few days ago, we woke up.

It was high time to change clothes so we got dressed to go dancing at the Blue Note, but we stopped at Inspire Space Park first.

Inspire Space Park hovers high above a sim that Cy found when he decided to spend 24 hours in Second Life. He didn't make it to the full 24 hours, but he did find lots of interesting things along the way. Inspire is one we come back to often to go stargazing and to float through the planets. (I took some pictures of the latter, but they came out hard to see.)
After that, we went to The Blue Note, a sim for romantic types with jazz music, lots of lovely scenery and many dances available to dance. Cy's pretty sure he bought his Blaze tux there.

(I'm not sure when they added the sea monster.) We soaked up the sunrise for a bit and then took to dancing.

...and then we fell asleep on our feet. There was no time to wind down and teleport home and go to bed--we went under all at once.
When we awoke, we decided it was time for another outfit change.

We decided we wanted to go to one of the events for Second Life's 16th birthday. Cy did a little hunting around and found an art installation that sounded interesting. With some tinkering, we managed to get the pair of us teleported there. The lag was thick and difficult. It was so thick and difficult that when I arrived, I found I couldn't move--I could turn, but not move forward. Then it was as if all my attempts to move forward succeeded all at once and placed me some distance from my landing point.

From there I still couldn't move. We finally gave up, went home and went to bed. Walking the world as a pair has its challenges, but we are determined to make it possible.
For now, we sleep and dream until The Me wakes us again.
