TPF Engenharia was responsible for the review and adaptation of an As-Is BIM model for a hydropower plant located on the São Francisco River, in northeastern Brazil, between the states of Bahia and Pernambuco. Using the BIM methodology and LiDAR scanning data, the project delivered an accurate digital representation of the facility's existing conditions. The objective was to establish a reliable technical baseline to support future asset management, maintenance, retrofit, and modernization initiatives. The project included site visits, the development of a 360° virtual tour, a critical assessment of the LiDAR point clouds, and the review of existing information. Through this process, TPF identified and corrected georeferencing and spatial coordination inconsistencies, creating a reliable foundation for the development of the As-Is BIM models. The models were coordinated across disciplines and enriched with technical information on the plant's main equipment and systems. In addition to the modeling activities, TPF prepared the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and supported the implementation of the Common Data Environment (CDE), strengthening information management throughout the project. The result was a consistent digital baseline designed to support future interventions while improving the efficiency of operation, maintenance, and modernization activities. #TPF #BIM #DigitalTwin #LiDAR #AssetManagement #Infrastructure #Hydropower

Efficient water resource management is essential to sustainable agriculture and resilient communities. At TPF, we bring together multidisciplinary expertise to modernize irrigation systems, reduce water losses, and support the long-term viability of agricultural land. Our teams support partners in the design and delivery of complex hydro-agricultural development projects. Recent examples reflect our commitment to resilient infrastructure and smarter water management: In Angola, the Chicomba scheme is a multi-purpose project combining a dam and an irrigation perimeter that could reach up to 3,000 hectares. In Portugal, our work includes the consolidation of the Roxo hydro-agricultural scheme representing 8,500 hectares and the rehabilitation of key irrigation perimeters, including Açafal, Alfaiates, Mira, and Sorraia. At TPF, we combine innovation and technical expertise to deliver infrastructure that supports people, agriculture, and the environment. A global quality standard is essential, but it only creates real value when adapted to the local realities of each project. By understanding the specific challenges, cultures, and needs of every territory where we operate, we ensure that our solutions are both globally consistent and locally relevant. At TPF, proximity is one of our four core values. It means more than being present on the ground. It means building trust-based relationships, anticipating client needs, and drawing on our international network to bring diverse perspectives to every project. Being close to the territory. Understanding local realities. Delivering solutions that truly fit the context. This is proximity — and this is one of our key strengths. Watch the video and discover how our colleagues turn technical expertise into adapted solutions for every local context. 💡 #TPF #CoreValues #EngineeringExcellence #GlobalReachLocalPresence #Proximity

Celebrated annually on August 9, International Day of the World's Indigenous People was established by the United Nations (UN) in 1994. The date recognizes the cultural diversity of Indigenous peoples and reaffirms the importance of defending their fundamental rights, including their right to self-determination, self-governance, and the protection of their territories, as well as their crucial role in building more sustainable futures. We are talking about populations that have existed and resisted for centuries, but who are not a static reflection of their ancestors. They are living, diverse cultures that are constantly evolving while maintaining strong ties to their histories, memories, and territories. The experiences and knowledge of these peoples offer valuable lessons on resilience, community, identity, and coexistence with nature. As part of the TPF Group, Synergia Consultoria Socioambiental has extensive experience in projects developed with Indigenous peoples from different regions of Brazil. Its work includes the preparation of Indigenous Component Studies, the implementation of Indigenous Environmental Management Plans, studies related to disaster recovery, and assessment of impacts on communities and territories. These efforts involve research and diagnoses of sociocultural and environmental realities, the definition of monitoring, mitigation, and compensation measures for impacts, as well as initiatives aimed at strengthening sociobiodiversity and Indigenous institutions. In carrying out its activities, Synergia adopts participatory and inclusive methodologies based on respect for cultural diversity, active listening, and the joint development of solutions with communities. This approach promotes the effective participation of Indigenous peoples, taking into account their languages and sociocultural specificities, while also contributing to the preservation of their tangible and intangible heritage. More than simply applying methods, it is necessary to decolonize knowledge and practice, recognizing that each people holds its own knowledge systems, specific forms of social organization, and leadership over its history, territory, and way of life. On this International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples, TPF reaffirms its commitment to ethical, technically qualified, and dialogue-based work, recognizing Indigenous peoples as the protagonists of their own histories and as key agents in addressing the socio-environmental challenges of today and tomorrow. 📸 Photo credit: Thiago Palazzi #WorldIndigenousPeoplesDay #CulturalDiversity #Sustainability #Sociobiodiversity #SocialResponsibility #EnvironmentalManagement #InclusiveDevelopment #CommunityEngagement #TPFGroup #SynergiaSocioambiental

The Emergency Department of Association hospitalière de Bruxelles - Centre hospitalier universitaire Saint-Pierre is a vital pillar of Brussels’ healthcare landscape. After nearly 30 years of uninterrupted service, this landmark facility is set to undergo a major renovation.   TPF is pleased to bring its engineering expertise to this ambitious project and to partner once again with MODULO architects, following our fruitful collaboration on the Institut Roi Albert III (IRA II), the new oncology and hematology centre at the Saint-Luc University Hospital in Brussels. Key highlights of the project include: ▸ A comprehensive transformation and expansion aimed at enhancing medical and surgical care, with a redesigned patient reception area organized around two distinct units: pediatric care and adult care. ▸ Optimized on-site facilities for ambulance services and SMUR teams. The challenge is considerable: delivering facilities that meet a new level of functional, technical, energy-efficiency, and healthcare standards, while ensuring the hospital remains fully operational 24/7.   This project marks the first phase of a broader program that will eventually include the renovation of the intensive care unit and the creation of a new coronary angiography department. Contributing to a project of this scale and public importance reflects TPF’s commitment to delivering healthcare infrastructure that meets evolving needs and supports the well-being of the communities it serves. #TPF #HealthcareInfrastructure #EngineeringExcellence #HospitalDesign #CHUSaintPierre

The iconic Ellipse Building in Brussels’ Northern District has reached a new milestone. Owned by Fubon Group, the landmark office complex has been successfully transformed for the future. At the heart of this renovation was the project manager Whitewood and the expert collaboration between TPF and Bureau d'études Pierre Berger S.A. By leveraging our multidisciplinary strengths, TPF led the architectural and structural design, as well as the modernization of electrical systems, while Bureau Berger provided specialized expertise in HVAC engineering. This technical synergy delivered impressive results: the building achieved a B+ energy certification—a standout achievement for a major renovation project. This milestone demonstrated that, with the right expertise, existing real estate can reach today’s highest standards of energy efficiency. We are proud to have contributed to a more sustainable and high-performing building stock in Brussels.
