Updates

  • You’ve seen it all before. A dispatcher juggling two screens, a ringing phone and a task list that never stops growing. A pilot digging through various data points to find the information they are looking for. A gate agent walking down the jetbridge because that's still the fastest way to tell the cockpit something changed. Different roles, same problem: too much noise, not enough signal, and important information stuck in whatever channel happens to be fastest at the time. Connect already solves the scattered communication part today, bringing every role into one shared flightroom instead of separate calls and messages. On September 17, we're showing you how the newest release of AvioBook Connect turns the noise down even further. Product Manager Petra Lafond will walk you through it live, both what Connect does today and what's new in Connect 3.0. ✍🏼 Registrations are open! Simply choose the slot that works best for your schedule. https://lnkd.in/ee6WkZcH #AvioBook #FutureOfFlying #EFB #AvioBookConnect #ConnectedComms #ConnectedCrew #FlightOps #FlightOperations #Webinar

  • Going digital in the cabin often gets reduced to "no more paper." At AvioBook, we think the real value goes further: giving cabin crew the full picture, right when they need it. 3 reasons why AvioBook Cabin makes the difference: 👩🏽🤝👨🏻 One seating map, not five systems. Crew often piece passenger info together from a paper manifest, a separate loyalty lookup, and memory. Cabin brings it into a single view. 🔍 While SSR codes are great for consistency, a list of abbreviations doesn't tell you where to look first. AvioBook Cabin provides color-coded SSRs so crew spot who needs attention at a glance, with extra context added where it's needed. (PS: loyalty status is next in line for color coding, keep an eye on our page 👀) 🔄 Seat swaps happen on almost every flight. AvioBook Cabin keeps a trace of who moved where, so crew never have to guess when something needs to be traced back to the right passenger. And this is only a handful of what AvioBook Cabin can do, there's a lot more we'd love to show you. Curious to learn more? • Something big is landing in AvioBook Connect 👀 On September 17, we're giving you the first look at the next release of AvioBook Connect, the app that gets every flight ops role working off the same information in real time. No more piecing things together through scattered, ad hoc communication. This is one of the biggest updates yet: Product Manager Petra Lafond will give you the full picture live, from what Connect does today to what's new in 3.0. Two sessions, so wherever you are, one should fit your schedule: 07:00 UTC or 14:00 UTC. • Not every issue needs a quick fix. Some need the right one. When ASL Airlines raises a concern, it doesn't disappear into a support queue. Nicolas Desimpel, Flight Operations Support Manager at ASL Airlines, explains how it works: issues are evaluated by our team, and only resolved once we've found the most solid, sustainable solution. Not the fastest one. That's what a true partnership looks like: less firefighting, more thinking ahead together. Want the full story? In our conversation with Nicolas, he also shares why ASL chose AvioBook, how his team uses it in daily operations, and how it's taken their digitalization further than ever. • What's the first thing a pilot has to do when a new flight plan comes in mid-air? Until recently, the answer was: start typing. Every update means manually re-entering data into the EFB and double-checking it against the original, all while still flying. It's tedious, it's slow, and it pulls focus away from the flight deck at exactly the wrong moment. Our OFP Re-Release feature changes that answer entirely. Instead of manual re-entry, AvioBook automates the whole transition the moment a new OFP arrives. The update just happens, cleanly and reliably. Less manual work means less room for error, and more headspace for the crew to focus on flying safely and efficiently. • What does it take to keep a business aviation operation running smoothly when plans change at the last minute? ✈️ In this interview, Emile De Wagenaere, dispatcher and planner at FLYINGGROUP, also shares his role as AvioBook administrator. Together with a colleague, he's driving the transition to a fully paperless environment, supporting sustainability while making pilot collaboration more seamless. His planning overview page mirrors Flying Group's planning software, giving dispatchers real-time visibility into every flight, with documents, weather, OFPs, and NOTAMs updating automatically in AvioBook. That's essential when business aviation throws its usual curveballs: a changed departure time, a new passenger, a last-minute destination swap. Updates flow seamlessly between crew briefing and flight planning software, refreshing in AvioBook as often as every minute, so pilots always have the latest data at their fingertips. AvioBook also handles Flying Group's fleet complexity, managing multiple AOCs and aircraft registrations, with tailored qualifications ensuring the right documents reach the right aircraft. That's the speed, precision, and reliability AvioBook delivers. 🚀 👀 Watch the video to hear from Emile directly: : https://lnkd.in/dPUGfzPR Want to learn more? • Picture this: you're mid-flight over high terrain when a cabin depressurization forces you down. You need an escape route, fast. Today, pilots have to study these routes in advance from dense charts and keep them in mind, ready to act at a moment's notice, exactly when there's no time to go swamping through charts. It's a challenge we've had on our radar for a while, and we can finally share a first glimpse of what's coming. Escape Routes brings every valid diversion path straight into the EFB, so pilots can visualize them in the context of their flight and know each route in detail: the sequence of waypoints, vertical profile, operational procedures and limitations. Tap a waypoint to explore your options, or simply let the EFB do the thinking: as the flight approaches a high terrain area, the relevant escape routes are smartly highlighted, filtered by the type of emergency you're facing. And once the situation is under control, pilots can trigger the Escape Route diversion directly on the EFB. The Navlog adjusts to the route actually being flown, so logging continues without interruption. No more piecing together scattered data under pressure. Just one clear view, with the full picture (altitude, procedures and descent profile together) so the decision is easier to make and faster to act on. It's a small workflow change with a big impact on both efficiency and safety. Escape Routes is coming soon to AvioBook. Want to be the first to know more? • Spotting which passengers need a little extra care just got faster 👀 Cabin crew can now color-code seats by SSR, with up to three special service requests each linked to their own color on the seat map. The new & improved SSR information field adds extra context, right where the crew need it. What might seem like a small change on screen, makes a real difference in the cabin. And SSRs are just the beginning. Loyalty status is next in line for color-coding, so crew can recognize your most valued passengers at a glance. Stay tuned for more details soon!
