We caught up with Swyftx partner Jack Jenkins this week in his version of the office, the gym. Tomorrow night, Jack steps into the UFC Octagon in Shanghai, taking on Sean Woodson and representing Australia on the international stage. Greg Oakford sat down with him ahead of the bout to chat about the fight, the preparation behind it and what he’s fighting for when he steps into the Octagon. From all of us at Swyftx, good luck, Jack.

While we don’t play favourites at Swyftx… our fraud team might just be our favourite team this week. It’s Scams Awareness Week, and while the video might be a bit of fun, the message behind it from Calum Y. is an important one. Scams are becoming increasingly sophisticated, and one of the best ways to protect yourself is to know what to look out for. Taking a few minutes to understand common scam tactics, recognise the warning signs and know what to do if something doesn’t feel right can make a huge difference. So this Scams Awareness Week, take a moment to brush up on your scam knowledge, and remember: if something feels off, stop, check and think before you act. And to our Fraud team, thanks for everything you do behind the scenes to help keep our customers safe. #ScamsAwarenessWeek #ScamAwareness #OnlineSafety #Swyftx

We’ve officially wrapped up one of our favourite Swyftx traditions, our "Active August" Step Challenge! 👟 🌏 This time, 160 team members across Australia, New Zealand, the US, the Philippines, the UK and Fiji joined forces to take on our version of The Oregon Trail. Our Step Challenge is about more than just getting moving. It’s a chance to connect with teammates across the globe, bring out a little friendly competition and get to know people you might not work with every day. And the team seriously delivered. 💪 Collectively, we walked a huge 15,620 km. To put that into perspective, that’s: ✈️ Almost the distance from Brisbane to New York 🚶♂️ Around 130 days of non-stop walking 🌎 Nearly 40% of the way around the planet A huge effort from everyone who got involved, and a big congratulations to our top walkers who absolutely smashed it! 🏆   🥇James Lever - 330.6 km 🥈Jason Wei - 276.9 km 🥉Mason Hosmer - 268.7 km Until the next challenge! #LifeAtSwyftx #activeaugust #EmployeeExperience

This week on 60 Seconds with Swyftx, our Product Marketing Manager Olivia Balderston covers what leverage actually is, how margin works, and why a small deposit controlling a much larger position cuts both ways. 60 Seconds with Swyftx is our education series, pulling apart one part of the crypto ecosystem at a time. The content behind this video sits in our Intro to Derivatives Trading course on Swyftx Learn: https://lnkd.in/gXbj3xdT ⁣ ‘Swyftx’ is a brand of Swyftx Pty Ltd (ABN 72 623 556 730). This is for educational purposes and should not be taken to constitute financial product advice, tax advice, or a recommendation to acquire or dispose of any asset. You should consider seeking independent legal, financial, taxation or other advice to check how the information relates to your unique circumstances. General advice only. Swyftx has entered Australia's personal loan market in partnership with Block Earner. Eligible customers can access personal loans collateralised by bitcoin. The insight behind it is straightforward. Most bitcoin holders do not want to sell. Up to 80% of holders globally are HODLers, and locally, buy orders typically outpace sells by two to one in both bear and bull markets. Customers who pre-registered told us the same thing, that selling to fund a one off purchase means giving up a position they intended to keep. Acting Co-CEO Andrea Yuen said: "There is an opportunity to challenge traditional lenders by carving out an advantage in an emerging market."  "As a rule, bitcoin investors have a strong conviction in the asset class and we know a lot of our clients would rather use bitcoin as collateral for a loan than sell it to fund a one-off purchase. Especially in softer market conditions." For the full release: https://lnkd.in/gbuuDjE8 Disclaimer: Credit Representative 579667 of Block Earner (Australian Credit Licence 542689). Lending criteria, T&C and fees apply. Borrowing against digital assets carries significant risk. Crypto is highly volatile, and sudden price drops will increase your Loan-to-Value Ratio (LVR). Crypto-backed loans may have tax consequences, including capital gains tax. Consider obtaining independent tax advice before applying.
