Via Stockhead Why Shaw & Partners thinks tin is a commodity to watch for ASX investors. Kormendy and the Shaw’s team say Stellar Resources ‘principal competitive advantage’ is its ‘unrivalled’ high-grade resource base. Stellar’s Heemskirk is regarded as the highest grade undeveloped tin deposit in Australia and third highest grade globally. Shaws sees Stellar producing first ore from Heemskirk in 2029, with output projected to lift to 1993tpa at an average cost of US$21,000/t in 2031, generating a cash margin on Shaw’s forecast prices of US$31,398/t. Stellar Resources (ASX: SRZ) is focused on developing its world class Heemskirk Tin Project in Western Tasmania.
About us
Stellar Resources (ASX:SRZ) is highly focused on developing its world class Heemskirk Tin Project located in the stable tier-1 mining friendly jurisdiction of Zeehan, Western Tasmania and aims to become a producer of 3,000 – 3,500tpa of payable tin[1], approximately 1% of global supply#. The Company has defined a substantial high-grade resource totalling 7.48Mt at 1.04% Sn, containing 77.87kt of tin*. This ranks the Heemskirk Project as the highest-grade undeveloped tin resource in Australia and third globally. Prefeasibility activities underway are evaluating potential project optimisations that will enable a boost in tin output from the 2024 Scoping Study. These activities include resource and exploration drilling to increase confidence by upgrading and expanding resource classifications as well as ore sorting test work to increase ore feed head-grade and tin recoveries. Stellar also holds the highly prospective North Scamander Project where initial drilling in September 2023, intersected a significant new high-grade silver, tin, zinc, lead and Indium polymetallic discovery. The Company confirms that it is not aware of any new information or data that materially affects the information included within the original announcement and that all material assumptions and technical parameters underpinning the MRE quoted in the release continue to apply and have not materially changed. # 2025 International Tin Association. Shaw and Partners Financial Services initiate coverage of Stellar Resources with a Buy recommendation and $0.66 price target. Shaw and Partners comment: "Stellar is an Australian mineral development company advancing its 100%-owned Heemskirk #Tin Project in Western Tasmania, positioning itself around Australia’s highest-grade undeveloped tin deposit. Backed by a strong cash position, granted mining tenure in a Tier-1 jurisdiction, and major polymetallic exploration upside including Silver and Tungsten at Scamander, Stellar offers high-leverage exposure to a structurally supply-constrained global tin market." Bridge Street Capital Partners. prepared a research report on Stellar Resources. Bridge Street explains: "We believe SRZ has a number of development options for the #Heemskirk project: • Development of the mine with a standalone milling facility at Zeehan producing +4Ktpa payable tin. This is likely to be the base case for the forthcoming PFS. • The acquisition of the nearby Avebury nickel plant (currently on care and maintenance, just 10km by road from Heemskirk). Negotiations are underway with current owners. This could be a more capital efficient option for SRZ but will require detailed evaluation of modifications required for the concentrator. As well as lower capex, Avebury could offer a shorter timeframe to market. • Take-over target by MLX or milling through the Renison facility? 50% owner of the Renison Mine, Metals X Ltd (ASX MLX), has recently emerged as a 16% shareholder in SRZ. SRZ is now clearly a takeover target, a part of what we assume is MLX’s “tin roll-up strategy”. Or are toll milling/ore sales options available at Renison? Both are possible." East Coast Research prepared a research report on Stellar Resources with a revised Target Share Price of $1.07. East Coast Research explains: "We are revising our target price for Stellar Resources (ASX: SRZ) upwards to $1.07, implying a compelling 245% total upside from the current $0.31 share price and marking an uplift from our Update report from September 2025. "Our valuation reflects the material progress achieved across the Heemskirk Tin Project, particularly the updated MRE, stronger tin price environment, and improved funding position following the Metals X-backed capital raising. The latest resource update represents a key de-risking milestone by materially strengthening the project’s scale and providing a larger, higher-confidence platform for the upcoming PFS. "Stellar has also advanced several important workstreams, including Severn and Queen Hill metallurgical optimisation, Comstock and Avebury infrastructure optionality, and the strategic investment from Metals X. The upcoming PFS, expected in 2H 2026, represents the most important near-term catalyst for SRZ. The study is expected to update Heemskirk’s development case following the expanded resource base, incorporating updated mine planning, production rates, capex, operating costs, recoveries and mine life assumptions. A strong PFS outcome could materially improve confidence in Heemskirk’s development pathway, highlight the value of the larger resource inventory, and provide a clearer basis for project financing and a potential market re-rating." Via Stockhead Why the Apple Isle is ripe for more discoveries While Tasmania only has a handful of operating mines, it has a long mining history and highly prospective geology. Stellar Resources managing director Simon Taylor has had a 30-year-plus career in mining but had never worked in #Tasmania until he stepped into the hotseat at the tin explorer. Stellar has taken multiple groups of analysts to Tasmania to visit its Heemskirk tin project. “I reckon two thirds or three quarters hadn’t been to Tasmania before, and they definitely all come away feeling like this is actually a mining jurisdiction in that part of Tasmania,” Taylor said. #ASXNews Report for the Quarter Ended 30 June 2026 Stellar Resources is pleased to present its quarterly activities report for the period ended 30 June 2026. Key achievements during the quarter centred around Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) upgrades and ongoing Prefeasibility Study activities aimed at advancing the Heemskirk #Tin Project towards development ready status and the Company’s aim to become a potential top 10 global tin producer. #SRZ Managing Director and CEO, Mr Simon Taylor, commented: “The June quarter was very productive for Stellar, highlighted by resource growth, metallurgical improvements at Queen Hill, strategic footprint expansion, and fund raising. Completion of our Resource drilling delivered an impressive 64% upgrade to our Mineral Resource at Severn released just after the quarter end and has elevated our global resource to over 129kt of contained tin forthe combined Heemskirk and nearby St Dizier satellite deposit, highlighting Heemskirk as a premier tin asset in a Tier-1 jurisdiction. "Project development continues with the Prefeasibility Study targeted for completion in Q3 by our newly established Owner’s Study Team. “The $17 million strategic investment from Metals X and the addition of Brett Smith to our board represents a powerful vote of confidence in our technical strategy. Furthermore, securing the highly prospective Ringville tenement next to the world-class Renison mine significantly expands our regional exploration pipeline. "Against a macro backdrop of structural supply shortages and surging tin demand driven by the AI and data centre boom, Stellar is advancing at exactly the right time. We have the capital, the operational expertise, and the asset base to transition from explorer to developer, paving the way for a positive second half of 2026." Via Resources Rising Stars Host of juniors rusting on to soaring tin as it becomes the glue of electrification The ASX #tin sector is buzzing thanks to the metal’s advance into record (nominal) territory for a whole host of reasons. The price has powered up from a CY2025 average of US$31,000/t to trade in the US$50,000/t-plus range to give tin roughly four times the value of the currently hot copper price. Stellar Resources is another about to release a PFS after a big resource increase at its high-grade Heemskirk tin project in Tasmania to 115,300t, or 129,000t if its nearby St Dizier satellite deposit is added in.
