With more than 25 years of experience across asset management, family offices and management consulting, Wim brings extensive expertise in portfolio management and portfolio construction, fundamental investment research, behavioural finance, fundamental and quantitative investing and in-depth company research. Prior to joining Shaw and Partners, Wim was Portfolio Manager & Head of Research at AL Capital, where he managed equity portfolios, led research activities and helped build institutional investment infrastructure. He has also held senior investment roles at Colonial First State Global Asset Management, Macquarie Asset Management, and Bernstein Value Equities in New York and London. Shaw and Partners Financial Services' parent company, EFG International, has delivered another strong half-year result. EFG recorded net profit of CHF 184.6 million (A$324m) for the first half of 2026, with Assets under Management totalling CHF 196.3 billion (A$345bn), an increase of 6.2% since the end of 2025, driven by strong net new asset inflows. These results reflect continued organic growth, successful acquisitions and the strength of the broader EFG Group. More than just a racing team, Women Racing is helping create more opportunities for women to compete and succeed at the highest levels of the sport, while inspiring the next generation of female sailors. As Shaw and Partners Women Racing, the team will represent Australia at the inaugural New York Yacht Club Women's International Championship, to be held from 12 to 19 September 2026 in Newport, Rhode Island, USA.
