MRG Metals Limited (#ASX:#MRQ) refers to its Announcement on 6 August 2026 and advises that it has completed a capital raising comprising a Placement of 352,750,000 fully paid ordinary shares at $0.002, raising $705k. Subject to shareholder approval, the Board and Management have committed to contribute $140K to this placement. In addition, the Company is considering an Offer to Shareholders, either an Entitlement Offer or a Share Purchase Plan. Strategic Rationale: ✅ The funds raised are directed primarily at the Garies Rare Earth Project, a 70% owned 275 km² tenement in the Northern Cape Province of South Africa. ✅ The Placement provides a clear pathway to expand the DrillTarg resource along strike and down dip, progress the Mining Licence Application, test the remaining 22 targets and advance toward the delivery of a pilot plant. ✅ The Company is now seeking interest from potential Strategic Partners, who have the capability the further develop the project. ✅ This, together with the lodgement of the Mining Right Conversion Application, enables MRG to consider partner funding for a pilot plant and ongoing exploration at Garies. ✅ Step out auger drilling will continue in parallel at the Adriano and Fotinho Rare Earth Projects in Mozambique. MRG Metals (#ASX: #MRQ) has commenced grid drilling at Target Area 2 within its Adriano rare earth project in northern Mozambique. MRG Metals (#ASX: #MRQ) has identified significant levels of the critical mineral Gallium at its Garies Rare Earth Project in South Africa. Metallurgical analysis of recent high-grade drilling returned up to 450 ppm Gallium Oxide (Ga2O3), sitting alongside the project's rare earth mineralisation. It points to a second critical mineral opportunity at Garies, in a metal where global supply is concentrated in China under export controls. Highlights: ✅ 85 magnetite vein drill samples averaged 290 ppm Gallium Oxide (Ga2O3), with a maximum of 450 ppm ✅ A bulk sample taken for metallurgical testwork contained 347 ppm Ga2O3 ✅ Two rare earth oxide (REO) concentrates assayed 880 ppm and 573 ppm Ga2O3, both enriched relative to the bulk sample ✅ QEMScan mapping shows the Gallium is hosted by pyrite, which makes up about 5% of the magnetite vein and carries around 0.4% Gallium ✅ Gallium is used in Gallium Nitride (GaN) and Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) semiconductors for power electronics, electric vehicle fast chargers, 5G components and defence radar ✅ The 5N Gallium Oxide price was US$367.46/kg on 1 July 2026 (Shanghai Metals Market) Further metallurgical testwork will assess whether the Gallium can be recovered as a by-product. The Company's primary focus remains the rare earth opportunity. MRG Metals (#ASX: #MRQ) has received strong new auger results from the Fotinho Rare Earth Project in Mozambique. Twenty six of 57 holes graded above 3% total heavy minerals (THM) over the full drilling depth. The results extend the alluvial system across the 396.42 square kilometre Adriano-Fotinho area and add weight to an emerging district-scale rare earth corridor. With three concurrent critical minerals projects now advancing across Southern Africa, Mr. Gregory's visit covered all fronts, meeting joint venture partners, government officials and on-site teams, to review progress and map out next steps at each project. Corridor Sands Titanuim Dioxde Joint Venture (Mozambique): ✅ Mr Gregory met in Maputo with the Director General of the Instituto Nacional de Minas (INAMI), together with the Board of Joint Venture partner Sinowin Lithium (SLC) (refer Figure1) ✅ The Mozambique government expressed strong support for Corridor Sands project, recognising the significance of the US$6 million invested to date and the planned investment required to advance to production. ✅ The government confirmed the final stages in the process of the transfer of mining tenements from MRG Metals to the Joint Venture company. ✅ Discussions with Sinowin representatives covered the commencement of groundwork to build mining operations towards targeted production in 2027.
