Great to see our Renewable Gas team at the National Renewables in Agriculture Conference in Orange, connecting with industry leaders, farmers and innovators to explore the role renewable gas can play in Australia's energy future. With projects like our Malabar Biomethane Injection Plant helping demonstrate the potential of renewable gas to decarbonise hard-to-abate sectors, conferences like this are an important opportunity to share insights, build partnerships and learn from others driving the transition to a low-carbon energy future. #RenewableGas #EnergyTransition #Biomethane #Agriculture #Sustainability

We love seeing (and supporting) our people give back to the community, and think this one definitely deserves a shout-out. Jemena Graduate Engineer Paige Sedgwick is serving up support for the town she grew up in, bringing her colleagues together to participate in Cootamundra’s annual beach volleyball fundraiser. The event brings 192 teams into Cootamundra for a weekend of beach volleyball in the main street, raising funds for local aged care provider Adina Care and bringing visitors into the regional NSW town. Paige has helped organise a Jemena team, who have already swung into action. “We’ve got 19 people who have signed up, we’ve booked our accommodation and we’ve started our fundraising,” Paige says. Paige’s community connection, including through the local Cootamundra Show, and her understanding of regional communities and the agricultural sector also feeds into her work at Jemena. As part of our Future Networks team, she provides engineering support to a range of projects, including planning for a future where agricultural and other waste could be turned into low-emissions biomethane and injected into the Jemena Gas Network. Through our award-winning Community Program, Jemena is proud to support team members like Paige who give their time, energy and local knowledge to the communities where we operate.

As the AFL season heads towards finals, Jemena Customer Service Innovation Manager Lawrence Henry is reflecting on what eight years of coaching women’s football in Williamstown has taught him about helping people grow. Since 2017, Lawrence has volunteered with women’s football in Williamstown, starting out by helping at training and going on to coach and now support the program’s ongoing development. “What keeps me coming back is seeing people grow,” Lawrence says. “I’ve really fallen in love with coaching people, developing people and getting enjoyment out of their progress.” That same focus on people sits at the heart of his role at Jemena, where he works to make customer experiences simpler and more seamless. Through our award-winning Community Program, Jemena is proud to support team members like Lawrence who give their time, energy and care to the communities where we operate. All through August, we’ll be sharing more stories of our employees giving back, so keep an eye out for the rest of the series. Give this one a thumbs up to show Lawrence and all our other volunteers your support!
