🎉 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝗡𝗲𝘁. This week, our Early Careers Network brought colleagues together for a 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗮 𝗟𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵 to connect, share experiences and have some fun along the way. From testing participant’s pop culture knowledge with classic movie trivia (from Singin' in the Rain to The Lord of the Rings), paper plane challenges, to matching childhood photos with colleagues, the event sparked plenty of laughs and friendly competition. More importantly, it was a great reminder of the value of strong workplace connections and the role our 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 plays in helping people build relationships, learn from each another and feel part of the #AusNet community. A big thank you to everyone who took part including Fran Duiker, Matthew Beckett, Bridget Cairns, Christophe Galland and our fantastic ECN Committee. #InternationalYouthDay #EarlyCareers #WorkplaceCulture #EmployeeExperience #WeBringTheEnergy

💬 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀? 𝗕𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀. Last week, AusNet's 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 joined members of our Board, Executive Leadership Team and employees to help shape this year's The Energy Charter Disclosure Report. Bringing together customer, community and business perspectives provided opportunities to reflect on our performance, customer’s and communities’ priorities and challenge our thinking about where we can continue to improve. As we develop the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁, these conversations will help refine the report so it reflects not only our progress and challenges, but also the feedback, priorities and experiences of the people we serve. Thank you to everyone who contributed their time, insights and perspectives. Listening to customers and communities remains a critical part of building trust and delivering better outcomes. #EnergyCharter #CustomerVoice #StakeholderEngagement #EnergyTransition #AusNet #EnergyCharterAU 📸 Pictured: members of AusNet's Customer Consultative Committee, Board, Executive Leadership Team and employees. ☀️ Great to join ENGIE AU and project partners last week to celebrate the commissioning of the 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘁 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗺, 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮'𝘀 𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗺. The event was an opportunity to connect with partners and stakeholders, reflect on the collaboration that brought the project to life and hear from ENGIE CEO Laura Caspari on this significant milestone. AusNet is proud to have delivered the terminal station and transmission connection infrastructure supporting the 250MW solar farm, on budget and ahead of program. Projects like this play an important role in connecting more renewable energy into Victoria's network and supporting the state's energy transition. The photos include members of our connection infrastructure team, Dennis Baldacchino PMP and Abdul Latif Bhanger, who played a key role in delivering this outcome. Thank you to Dennis, Abdul and everyone involved, and thank you to ENGIE for partnering with us on this important project. #EnergyTransition #RenewableEnergy #SolarEnergy #Transmission #Infrastructure #Collaboration

🌱 As 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 comes to a close, we're proud to reflect on a day that brought together community, conservation and collaboration at Gooram in Victoria's Strathbogie Shire. Ten AusNet employees joined Landcare Australia, Gecko CLaN and local landholders to support landscape recovery on a property impacted by this year's bushfires. Together, we helped install 40 tree guards to protect new growth and support the long-term regeneration of native habitat and productive farming land. The project is part of a three-year program supported through the 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝗡𝗲𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀, helping local Landcare groups restore biodiversity and strengthen community resilience in areas affected by severe weather events. A big thank you to our employees who volunteered their time, to the local landholders, Rowena and Michael who welcomed us onto their property and to Landcare Australia and 𝗚𝗲𝗰𝗸𝗼 𝗖𝗟𝗮𝗡 for their ongoing commitment to community-led environmental action. Partnerships like these remind us that meaningful change happens when organisations, communities and volunteers work together. 🤝 #LandcareWeek #CommunityPartnerships #Volunteering #Biodiversity #CommunityResilience #LandcareAustralia #AusNet

⚡ 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝘄𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮’𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮 𝗺𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗿𝘂𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻? That's the question behind an important new rule change proposal published by the Australian Energy Market Commission (AEMC). The proposal aims to strengthen system restart preparedness through improved forward-looking planning, enhanced testing arrangements and clearer local black system procedures. At AusNet, we welcome the Reliability Panel's leadership in progressing these reforms. We are particularly pleased to see key elements of our submission to the System Restart Review adopted in the proposed testing framework, including clearer approaches to shallow and deep network testing and consideration of real-time high-speed monitoring. As Australia's energy system continues to evolve, system restart pathways are becoming increasingly complex. New technologies, changing network configurations, generator retirements and evolving load patterns make it more important than ever to ensure restoration plans perform as intended when needed. We congratulate the Reliability Panel on advancing this important work. Strengthening system resilience is a shared responsibility, and we look forward to continuing to work with industry, Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) and policymakers as the rule change process progresses. 🔗 Read the rule change https://lnkd.in/djW8qPvw #EnergySecurity #GridResilience #EnergyTransition #SystemRestart #NEM #AEMC

⚡𝟭𝟬𝟴 𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝘂𝗽𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗱. 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮’𝘀 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗸 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀. Building a safer and more resilient network takes collaboration, planning and commitment. We're proud to have completed one of the largest SWER (Single Wire Earth Return) upgrade projects on the AusNet network, replacing approximately 108 kilometres of bare wire powerlines with insulated powerlines across Victoria’s highest bushfire risk areas. Delivered on time and within budget, the project involved upgrading ageing infrastructure, installing more than 100 new poles and working across challenging terrain and winter conditions. These upgrades will help strengthen bushfire protection, improve network resilience and support the communities we serve. A special thank you to Zinfra for their outstanding work in the field and commitment to customer consultation, property remediation and community support throughout construction. A project of this scale was made possible by more than 120 people working together across our organisations. We're also grateful to the landowners and local communities whose patience and cooperation helped make this important project possible. 🤝Together, we're building a safer, stronger and more resilient energy future for Victoria. #EnergyInfrastructure #BushfireMitigation #NetworkResilience #Community #Partnership

⚡Keeping power flowing while rebuilding critical infrastructure is no small feat. AusNet has successfully energised a temporary bypass on the Heywood to Alcoa Portland 500kV transmission line, marking a major milestone in the Portland tower replacement project. The bypass allows electricity supply to continue uninterrupted while seven transmission towers are safely dismantled and replaced. Importantly, crews completed the cutover without disrupting supply to Alcoa Portland. In a first for AusNet, the project is using temporary monopole structures on a 500kV transmission line instead of a traditional Emergency Restoration System (ERS), demonstrating an innovative approach to maintaining network reliability during construction. The project is also generating significant benefits for the local economy, with up to 40 workers from Consolidated Power Projects (CPP) and subcontractors on site during peak construction periods. These works are part of our ongoing maintenance and upgrade program to keep electricity flowing safely and reliably for the communities and industries that rely on the network. 🔗Read more about the project: https://lnkd.in/gM6nsdzd #EnergyInfrastructure #TransmissionNetworks #EnergyReliability #Innovation #WeBringTheEnergy
