At Ausgrid, we're constantly looking for opportunities to improve how we operate while supporting the energy transition. Our new electric mobile service truck is a great example. Rather than bringing vehicles back to a workshop for routine servicing, we're taking maintenance to where it's needed. Already travelling around 600–800 kilometres each week, it's helping reduce downtime, lower emissions and keep our crews focused on the work that matters. It's a small change with a big impact—and one more example of how we're embedding innovation into the way we deliver for customers every day. #TeamAusgrid #Fleet #EVCI #Innovation

Ausgrid’s Fatima Bazzi, Group Executive - Customer, joined CEDA’s ‘Data Centres and NSW’s Digital Future’ event yesterday to discuss one of the critical enablers of the state’s digital economy: connecting data centres to the electricity network in a way that is coordinated, efficient and fair for customers. As demand for AI, cloud computing and sovereign data capability accelerates, NSW has a significant opportunity to strengthen its position as Australia’s digital capital. The right approach to energy infrastructure will be essential to unlocking that growth. Fatima shared her perspective on how smarter location decisions, precinct planning and early coordination between government, industry, councils and utilities can help make better use of existing network capacity, reducing unnecessary infrastructure build, and providing the investment certainty the market needs. Thank you to CEDA - Committee for Economic Development of Australia for the opportunity to contribute to the conversation on NSW’s digital future. 👉 We are currently consulting with stakeholders on our energy services plans, including data centre connections. What should the future of energy look like for our communities? We are focused on delivering an energy transition that is fairer, faster and cheaper for all our customers. As part of our 2029–34 regulatory reset process, we are seeking feedback on potential new energy services that can support the way our customers are using, generating and sharing energy. The proposed new energy services include: 🔹 Installing EV chargers on local street poles to provide easy access for customers without driveways or garages 🔹Sharing the extra capacity of neighbourhood batteries with businesses who can use stored cheap solar energy during the day and share it back to homes at night We would also like to hear your views about coordinating local energy precincts that link up the solar and batteries in an area (so they work together as one smart local system keeping more clean energy in communities) and changing how we charge for network upgrades for large energy users, such as data centres. We value engaging with customers. It's how we make sure our decisions reflect what matters most to our communities as we shape our future plans. 👉 You can find out more about our plans, share your feedback, and register for our webinar at engage.ausgrid.com.au. #ausgridEngage #Ausgrid #wiredforgood #EnergyTransition #ElectricVehicles

Last week, we welcomed our 2027 Graduate cohort to Ausgrid for a celebratory morning tea, marking the beginning of their journey with us. The morning was an opportunity for our future graduates to meet current and former graduates, connect with leaders from across the business, and learn more about the diverse career opportunities that await them. To round out the day, the group stepped out of the office and into the field with a tour of one of our substations, gaining a first-hand look at the critical infrastructure that helps keep electricity flowing to millions of homes and businesses across our network. It's always inspiring to see the enthusiasm, curiosity and fresh perspectives our graduates bring. We can't wait to welcome them back in 2027 and see the impact they'll make as they help shape the future of energy. #Ausgrid #Careers #Graduates #TeamAusgrid

How do you modernise one of Australia's most complex utility fleets while keeping the lights on for more than four million customers? That's the challenge our fleet team tackles every day. From electric vans and trucks to specialist plant, mobile maintenance and charging infrastructure, we're proving that fleet electrification and operational resilience can go hand in hand. Guided by a Ausgrid's focus on safety, operational suitability, value and electrification, we're building a fleet that's ready for the future while supporting the reliable supply of electricity today. We're proud that this work has been recognised as a finalist in the 2026 Fleet News Group Fleet of the Year Awards. Industry voting is now open and closes Tuesday September 22, and we'd love your support. If you think we're helping shape the future of fleet management, we'd be grateful for your vote on the Fleet News Group website at https://lnkd.in/gVB92BU7 Thank you to Fleet News Group for the recognition, and congratulations to all the finalists. #FleetManagement #FleetInnovation #Electrification #EV #Ausgrid

When communities have a place to come together, they're better prepared for whatever comes next. The Bahtabah Resilience Hub is more than a community space. It's a place where people can connect, share knowledge, access support, and strengthen community resilience before, during and after emergencies. Developed through a partnership between Bahtabah LALC and Ausgrid, the hub reflects a shared commitment to strengthening community resilience. As Carol shares in this video, resilience is built through connection. By investing in places that bring people together, we're helping communities remain connected when severe weather affects the electricity network. We're proud to support initiatives that leave a lasting benefit for the communities we serve. Behind every major infrastructure project are the people making it happen. Meet Ben Foley, one of our dedicated team members helping deliver the Hunter-Central Coast Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) Network Infrastructure Project. For Ben, it's more than just building infrastructure. It's about working alongside local communities, supporting local businesses, and helping deliver a project that will benefit generations to come. Since joining in January, Ben has seen first hand just how much the project has evolved, with continued momentum and site progress bringing us closer to connecting more renewable energy to the grid. The energy transition is powered by people, and we’re proud to have local people like Ben helping make it happen. As the network operator, we're delivering the Hunter-Central Coast REZ Network Infrastructure Project for the NSW Government's Hunter-Central Coast REZ. Together with our project partners, we're building the infrastructure that will connect more renewable energy into the grid while creating skilled jobs and opportunities across the region. If you caught our first electric semi trailer truck on the news a couple of months ago, here's what happened next. We tested how a heavy electric vehicle performs as part of our day-to-day electricity network operations. The results were encouraging. Operating alongside our existing fleet, the vehicle hauled loads of more than 30 tonnes with no reduction in productivity during the trial. The Volvo vehicle travelled more than 1,400km, helping avoid more than 1.2 tonnes of CO₂ emissions, while drivers highlighted the quieter, smoother and more comfortable driving experience. That quieter operation also benefits the communities we serve, reducing noise during freight movements, particularly in urban areas and during early morning or late-day deliveries. Alongside the vehicle, we partnered with HubZero Energy to trial a battery-assisted fast charging solution designed to simplify the rollout of heavy vehicle charging infrastructure. By combining a standard grid connection with integrated battery storage, the solution demonstrated how charging infrastructure can be deployed more quickly and without the need for major grid upgrades or ground excavation. Trials like this help us make informed decisions about the future of our fleet while continuing to improve the experience for our people, our customers and the communities we serve #Ausgrid #ElectricVehicles #FleetElectrification #Innovation #EnergyTransition

We're incredibly proud to have been recognised as a finalist in the Clean Energy Council Awards for Equity, Inclusion and Diversity. Creating a cleaner energy future also means creating an industry where more people can see themselves, contribute and succeed. That's why we're continuing to invest in inclusive workplaces, stronger pathways into the energy sector, meaningful partnerships with First Nations communities and industry collaboration that helps drive lasting change. Being named a finalist alongside so many organisations doing important work is an honour in itself. Congratulations to Beon Energy Solutions on taking home this year's award, and to all of the finalists whose efforts are helping build a stronger, more inclusive energy sector. Thank you to the Clean Energy Council for recognising the work being done across our industry. We'll continue working towards an energy transition that benefits everyone. #CleanEnergy #Inclusion #Diversity #Equity #EnergyTransition
