The true impact of community grant funding isn't measured in dollars – it's measured in the difference it can make every day. Hear from Dandaragan Primary School about how grant funding has helped enhance the school, enriched learning opportunities, and turned a student-led mural project into a source of pride for the whole community. It's a powerful reminder that some of the most meaningful outcomes come from supporting local ideas and helping communities shape the initiatives that matter most to them.
About us
Alinta Energy is one of Australia’s largest energy retailers, generators, investors and developers. In the last decade we’ve grown from being the largest residential gas retailer in Western Australia to the preferred electricity and gas provider for more than 1 million homes and businesses Australia-wide. We have an owned and contracted generation portfolio of 3,000 MW across Australia and New Zealand – including gas, wind, solar, and coal. Our determination to make energy better has put us at the forefront of the transition to renewables. We built Western Australia’s highest producer of renewable energy (the Yandin Wind Farm), the first grid-forming big battery in Australia, and one of the biggest remote solar installations at the Chichester solar-gas hybrid project. And we’re developing over $10 billion of renewables and storage projects including offshore wind and pumped hydro projects. We’re proud of our local customer service centres and agents in Perth, Western Australia and Morwell in Victoria, and employ over 1000 people across the country.

We’ve reached another important milestone for the Marri Wind Farm! In May, the project received Development Approval, marking a significant step towards delivering more renewable energy for Western Australia and creating long-term benefits for the region. We've taken some time to thank the many people who have contributed to the project and helped shape it to date. Work is continuing on the project’s EPBC assessment process, and we’ll keep the community updated as we move towards a final investment decision. Check out our video below to thank everyone who provided feedback that helped us. #MarriWindFarm #WesternAustralia #RenewableEnergy

One of the best things about supporting our communities is finding new ways to get involved. Bridge Builders Incorporated was one of our Round 11 Community Grants recipients, receiving funding to expand its Backpack Buddies program, which provides nutritious food for children experiencing weekend hunger. But our connection didn’t stop with the grant. Reena L. from our Finance team was keen to get more involved, so she organised a team building event to help out at Bridge Builders. The team spent the day writing notes of encouragement and packing backpacks for local children, while learning more about the program and the difference it’s making for families in the community. It’s great to see relationships like this grow beyond funding and give our people the chance to get involved in the work our community grant recipients do. Thanks to the Bridge Builders team for having us – and for the wonderful work you do every day. 🧡 #communitygrants #alintaenergy #teambuilding #volunteer 📣 Shout out to the team Clement Vigneaux, Rutendo Zindi, Franc Gamiz Quer, Charlene Thomas

Our graduate program is designed to give you real opportunities - meaningful, high-touch, and full of impact from day one. “Our graduate program is a two-year rotational experience. We keep the program intentionally small so we can stay high-touch, meeting individual needs and ensuring graduates get the exposure and support they need,” says our Early Careers Program Manager, Claudia Hosikian. "That’s what makes our program different. You’re never just a number." With rotations across the business, direct access to leaders, and projects that truly matter, you’ll be empowered to achieve more than you imagined and, in a culture, where your ideas are valued and your growth is prioritised.🚀 If you’re looking for a place to make your mark, this is it!
