The growth of electric vehicles (EVs) represents one of the most significant shifts underway in Australia's energy transition. EVs have the potential to play an important role in reducing emissions, supporting renewable energy integration and delivering long-term value for customers and communities. Through investments in public charging infrastructure and innovative energy products, AGL is committed to supporting the transformation taking place as electrification changes the way Australians live, move and work. It was wonderful to meet one of our loyal customers, Florence, in Adelaide and hand over her brand-new BYD Electric Vehicle, thanks to AGL’s Great EV Giveaway. This campaign gave new and existing customers the chance to win one of five electric vehicles, helping bring to life our strategy to connect Australians with a more sustainable future. Florence has been an AGL customer for twenty years, and has already started her own electrification journey by installing solar on her home. Hearing how excited she was about taking the next step with a new electric vehicle was a great reminder of the practical benefits electrification can make in people’s lives. We’re seeing growing interest in electric vehicles as Australians look for ways to save money and lower their emissions. At AGL, we’re committed to supporting customers in their switch to EVs through products and services like EV charging plans and public kerbside chargers. It’s all part of how we’re helping customers electrify the way they live, move and work. #Customers #ElectricVehicles #Electrification #EnergyTransition #Jointhechange

We’ve fitted homes in Point Pearce, on Narungga Country on South Australia’s Yorke Peninsula, with rooftop solar and home battery systems. For participating households, this could mean electricity bill savings of around $1,000 to $2,000 a year*, while also helping reduce reliance on the grid. We visited Point Pearce recently to hear from the community about why this project matters so much. Thanks to Department for Energy and Mining, South Australia, SA Housing Trust Trust and Aboriginal Lands Trust. We’re especially grateful to Sigenergy, Bulk Group and Twilight Energy SA for their contributions to the project. * Based on simulations of similar home systems nearby; actual savings will vary depending on each household’s energy use and electricity plan Learn more - https://lnkd.in/egRf-3CK #Jointhechange #EnergyTransition #Reconciliation

In July’s AGL News, David Moretto, our Chief Commercial Officer, explores batteries in the National Electricity Market. We also spotlight our partnership with the Point Pearce Aboriginal Corporation on Narungga Country in South Australia, offering free solar and battery installation to every home in town, and hear from AGL’s employees who’ve electrified the way they live, move and work. Congratulations to Daniel Pung, a mechanical apprentice at our Bayswater Power Station, on being named Apprentice of the Year at the Upper Hunter NAIDOC Awards 👏 “I was over the moon that I was selected. I knew there were plenty of eligible candidates within the community and I felt honoured that I was chosen to receive the award,” Daniel said. We're proud to support apprentices like Daniel as they build the skills that will help power Australia's energy future. Could you be our next apprentice? One year on since launching AGL Community Power, we’re making real progress in building a more inclusive energy transition. From South Australia’s Virtual Power Plant to community batteries, launching our Community Saver plan and AGL Community Offer for communities near our generation sites, and a new pilot with Hume Housing in NSW, we’re helping more customers share in the benefits of solar and batteries. At the same time, we’re building a more flexible, resilient energy system for everyone. There’s more ahead as AGL Community Power continues to grow. For Emily Skehill, AGL's Government Programs Manager, buying her first home in 2018 was the perfect opportunity to start her family’s all electric journey. Cutting her energy bills in half was just the beginning. “After working in the renewable energy industry since 2009, I was excited to switch to all electric and lower my bills, update my home and do my bit to reduce carbon emissions.” Learn more about Emily's electrification journey - https://lnkd.in/exwm9sDz #Electrification #Customer #Jointhechange

We’re collaborating with the Point Pearce Aboriginal Corporation (PPAC) on Narungga Country in South Australia to offer free installation of solar and battery systems to all homes across the town, with the systems to be owned and maintained by PPAC. The program is aimed at helping to lower electricity bills for eligible households and support ongoing access to reliable, renewable energy for the community. It’s part of our commitment to reconciliation and to working alongside First Nations communities in ways that create shared benefits through the transition. Thanks to Sigenergy, Bulk Group and Twilight Energy SA for their contributions to the project, as well as the Department for Energy and Mining, South Australia, SA Housing Trust and Aboriginal Lands Trust. AGL’s next generation of trades talent is already making its mark. Our 2026 first-year Bayswater apprentices took home three major awards at the regional Mining Skills Presentation Night, including the top honour for Ella Bridge, who summed it up best: “It’s awesome to be recognised and to look back at how much progress we’ve all made.” An outstanding result, and a clear sign of the talent and drive shaping our future workforce.
