Mac
Fidelia is the audiophile music player for Mac. It plays your music the way it was recorded — no compression, no quality loss, no compromise. Your library, your order, nothing deciding what comes next but you.
YOUR NETWORK, YOUR LIBRARY
Fidelia speaks Lyrion (Logitech Media Server): the library on your server sits in the sidebar beside the files on your Mac — one search, one wall, one player. Browsing it is free.
It plays TO your system, too. Any UPnP/DLNA streamer becomes an output — WiiM, Bluesound, Linn, Naim, Eversolo, Denon, HQPlayer — chosen from the same menu as your USB DAC, fed bit-perfect original bytes, truly gapless.
And it doesn't make you choose between the network and your signal path. Leave bit-perfect off and the whole chain runs first — HeadSpace, the dither, the resampler, your Audio Unit slots — then streams the result. Most network players hand the file to the box and stop there.
One system, sounding its best. Multi-zone sync is deliberately not attempted — this is a player for the room you're in.
THREE MASTERING-GRADE PROCESSORS, BUILT IN
Engineers pay hundreds for these as plugins.
HeadSpace — headphones are unnatural: your left ear never hears the right speaker the way it would in a room. HeadSpace corrects that with frequency-dependent crossfeed modeled on real head acoustics. A soundstage like speakers in a room, not two drivers against your ears.
Pro Dither — when audio moves between bit depths, dithering decides whether the noise floor vanishes or turns audible. A 9th-order psychoacoustic noise shaper tuned to ISO 226 equal-loudness contours — the approach licensed into Pro Tools and Logic. The noise floor drops below hearing.
Reference Sample Rate Conversion — linear-phase and minimum-phase engines, the same found in professional mastering suites, with five quality presets.
BIT-PERFECT & EXCLUSIVE MODE
Source bits go straight to your DAC — no processing, no conversion. Exclusive mode locks the device to Fidelia, bypassing the OS mixer entirely. The same behavior as dedicated audiophile hardware.
NATIVE DSD
DSF and DFF, DSD64 through DSD512, decoded in real time, gaplessly, with no conversion. For a DAC that decodes DSD itself, bit-perfect DoP sends the stream through untouched — enabled per device and confirmed with a test tone, so it only engages where it works.
INTERNET RADIO
Thousands of stations, or add any by URL — living in your library next to the music you own, running the same reference engine. Fidelia grades each stream's real quality honestly: no lossy feed dressed up as hi-fi. HLS, Opus and Vorbis play natively.
THREE AUDIO UNIT SLOTS
Load any Audio Unit — EQ, reverb, compression, spatial. Open plugin GUIs without leaving Fidelia, and every setting returns exactly as you left it.
BUILT FOR LARGE LIBRARIES
Album art fills itself in — the covers on screen first, then the rest quietly in the background, exact matches only, because a wrong cover is worse than a missing one. Every playlist remembers its own sort. Duplicate recordings resolve to the best copy you own.

The Album Wall comes alive.
The light moves with the music now. The record you're playing carries a soft beacon, and the wash behind the Wall takes its colour from that album — drifting as the record changes, settling when it doesn't. Move the pointer across the Wall and the room lights under it.
It's quicker, too. Covers are decoded ahead of your scrolling and arrive ready to draw, so the first cold pass through a large library stalls about a third as long as it used to. Opening an album and coming back is one continuous move — the cover lands where it left, and nothing flickers on the way.
More than two channels.
Your 5.1, 7.1 and 7.1.4 files now reach every output on your interface, not just the first two. The Output matrix draws a row per channel in the source — labelled L, R, C, LFE and the rest — so you place them where your system expects them, or fold a multichannel record down to stereo. Audio Unit slots can run wide as well: Settings ▸ Plugins ▸ Multichannel Processing gives your plugins a bus up to 16 channels across, for convolution work that emits a filtered channel per driver. Slots that only speak stereo say so, and are bypassed rather than guessed at.
Fidelia plays to your network.
Your Lyrion (Logitech Media Server) library appears in the sidebar next to your own files — browse it, search it, see its artwork. That part is free.
And your streamer becomes an output. Pick a WiiM, Bluesound, Linn, Naim, Eversolo, Denon or HQPlayer from the same menu as your DAC, and Fidelia sends it the original bits, gaplessly — or the full signal path if you'd rather: HeadSpace, dither, sample-rate conversion and your Audio Unit slots all run before the audio leaves the Mac. A network player that still sounds like Fidelia.
Browsing your server is free. Playing to a network endpoint is a separate one-time unlock — no subscription, here or anywhere else in Fidelia.
All your music, in one library.
Fidelia has always played your imported files and your Music.app library alike. Now it stops treating them as two places — one wall, one table, one search, with your sources as filters and a sortable Source column telling you where a track came from.
When the same recording exists in more than one place, Fidelia shows it once and keeps the better copy — lossless over lossy, higher resolution over lower. The album's fidelity light marks the records that have alternates; click it to see every version, ranked. Byte-for-byte duplicates can go to the Trash from there, identity proven by reading the files rather than trusting their names. Music.app tracks appear for reference and stay untouched. And if the chosen copy isn't available the moment you press play, Fidelia falls back to the next best one without saying a word.
Missing covers fill themselves in, looked up online and matched exactly on artist and album — because a wrong cover is worse than a missing one.
Fidelia also notices when your files change underneath it. Edits in Music.app appear while Fidelia stays open, and replacing a file in place — re-encoding an album to ALAC over the AAC originals — updates its format and resolution on its own. Nothing is re-imported: playlists, play counts and anything you typed by hand stay as they were.
Beneath that, the quieter work. Launch is quick again: a step in 2.11.0's migration could stall a large library, once, after updating — it now finishes in seconds, and the library builds in the background, so the window is never the one waiting. Copy-protected Apple Music downloads are named and skipped at import instead of arriving as tracks that silently refuse to play. Deleting a playlist folder takes its subtree with it, and playlists stranded by old folder edits come back into view.
Longtime Fidelia 1 owner? Fidelia 2 is an all-new app — a free download with a 14-day trial and a one-time unlock, no subscription, so a Fidelia 1 purchase won't restore into it. Thank you for years of listening.
