GAMES WE LOVE

Green Light by Yanaginagi

Step into the world of the music album.

Adventure game Green Light brings to life the world of singer-songwriter Yanaginagi’s album of the same name. The story is set in Viridiar, a town that once prospered through mining. After its gemstone resources were exhausted, the people of the town settled into a quiet life. Then, one day, a mysterious rumour began to spread. It claimed that anyone who fell asleep in Viridiar would share the same dream.

What we love: Playing as Midori, a girl working at a hotel where travellers gather to see dreams. By day, explore the hotel and the town, collecting “words” through conversations with residents and guests. These “words” become the key to solving mysteries in the dream world at night.

Collect “words” while exploring in the daytime and solve puzzles in the dreams.

The dreams that Midori sees when she returns home are missing bits and pieces. And the “words” you learned while exploring will help fill in the gaps and continue the dream. By helping those in need or listening to the conversations of the people in the town, you may just uncover unexpected hints.

Quick tip: Pay attention to the music from Yanaginagi's album “Green Light”, which makes the sory world feel even richer and more expansive. At the end of a story that blends fantasy, sci-fi and romance, the hidden truth of the town is finally revealed.

Meet the creator: The original story concept was created by Yanaginagi to celebrate the 14th anniversary of her album’s debut. Development was handled by publisher Room6 as well as indie game developer Hako Life, known for the adventure game Unreal Life.
