Welcome to my hidden world!

В январе 2014 года, Мишелке подружка (и её мама) подарили крошечный вазончик с розочками.  Наш папа пересадил розочку в больший горшочек и летом выставил на улицу.  Розочки разрослись.  Осенью, когда стали наступать морозы, он занёс горшок в дом.
Розочки зацвели в декабре, а потом шокировали нас вторым цветением в феврале.
Похоже что наш папа очень хорошо заботится о Мишелкиных розах.

продолжают цвести

This was one uncomfortable week.  Started with me and Mishka getting sick on Sunday, then Michelle got ear infection and pink eye on Tuesday and then Boris got sick too and still is sick.  Boris’ grandpa who is 95 was at the hospital not feeling well too this week.   On Wednesday, Boris’ car got stock in the snow and he damaged something under the car.  So on Friday we took it over to the shop and luckily, it got fixed on Friday evening before the storm.  In addition to that my friend is going through some tough times right now.

In addition to all that we had a snow storm today with about 20 inches of snow covering everything around us.  I stayed home all day wearing my pajamas and did not plan to leave house until Sunday morning.  Then I got a phone call from Mishka’s teacher from religious school that there will be no school on Sunday at the synagogue so I didn’t even have to get out of the house until Sunday evening.   

There is always something to do at home or something needs to be purchased for home.  After almost 7 years in our house, we almost have all of the furniture that we needed except of Michelle’s room.  Now, I am working on decorating and already have some pictures on the walls but more work is needed to feel that my house is complete (if such feeling exists?!). 

Ok, about 6 months ago I bought this photo frame that looks really cool in our bedroom.  After several months of collecting dust on the floor, I made Boris put in on the wall.  Now, after several months of hanging I did not put our pictures in it yet.

Now, I am waiting for a family studio and outdoor photo shoot that will take sometime in August when our photographer will get back from vacation.  Next on the list is I need a big mirror on one wall in my bedroom.  That is the place where I often dance and where I have space to dance and also, we don’t have any mirrors where one can see yourself in full height.  So, now I need to find a mirror that will match our bedroom furniture and Boris would not reject.

Finally, after almost a year, Boris installed good water filter and we got a new teapot.  That is a big progress.  Another project that is on the way some day is to replace the linoleum on the kitchen and bathrooms with tile.  We have been thinking about it ever since we moved into the house but did not get to it yet and it might take years until we will be ready for it.
